Really, you could beat someone with just about anything. I'm pretty sure my first generation iPad weighs more than my stick.

They decided it was light and pliable enough not to do enough damage, I guess, and let me take it. I travel with the thing all the time and this is the 2nd time I've been questioned about it (first was in China).
