rbp yep. I'm pretty sure MIL has gotten over the fact we had girl. I haven't heard a snarky comment since. Also, we went with the middle name Mary and I'm not sure if you read any of the issues over that but Mary was my adored grandmother but Mary was also MIL's mom's name and everyone in the family hated (literally did not even attend her funeral) her. So I was told the name "Mary" was "out". MIL has yet to say anything about that decision (now that she's here) either.
Quiet before the storm, though. I'm petty sure the regular shenanigans will happen soon. We're still holding our breath on the "why isn't she baptized yet?" issue.
DD climbed out of her crib this weekend. I'm on hold with Pottery Barn Kids, trying to track down the side rail that converts DD's crib into a toddler bed. The crib is 2 years old and they already discontinued the side rail, wtf? Their customer service person tracked down one that I could buy at full price and have shipped from Cincinnati. Now they're checking to see if any of their other toddler rails will fit our crib.
I will really miss the containment phase of our lives
I told the nurse about the positive pee sticks at this morning's beta. She was like "did you cheat?" And I was all "yes, 11 times." Now I 1) feel like a freak for admitting I peed on 11 sticks and 2) am oddly paranoid that my blood test will be negative since I haven't used a stick since Thursday. Talk me down.
YOU ARE PREGNANT.
Imagine the Shakira song about hips not lying. 11 pee sticks don't lie!
@supergreen, I had the same adult excitement about our new dishwasher and washing machine. Up next are new lamps for the living room. I think they'll be my Christmas present.
I'd be excited too! New appliances are so fancy! I'm hoping for a minivan for Christmas I'm slowly planting the idea in DH's mind. Hopefully he come around.

This is why I decided to buy a new convertible crib rather than one I found online for really cheap. The person didn't get the rails for the toddler or full bed and it was about 4 years old. Everything was discontinued. It sucked because the crib and dresser set was in great shape and the whole thing was the price of just one new crib.
I just went and bought the toddler and full bed rails at BBBaby the other day and plan to store them b/c the sales rep said they discontinue colors/styles frequently (like 2 years!). It's really annoying because the changes aren't even that big but are just different enough where you can't use it.

LOL at the 11 sticks. I mean. I am right there with you - thank you Amazon for your cheap pee sticks. But that nurse needs to chill. It's not "cheating", and it's completely ridic that she called it that.

I'm waiting for a call back from the pedi about DD's breath holding spells. As much as I'd love for her to never have one again, I really, really hope she never has one at daycare / with someone other than me and H.

For real! Especially since I was on vacation last week so I'm already 4 weeks, 4 days. Pretty much the whole of the June 2015 bmb has made FB announcements, told their boss, has scheduled gender reveal parties, etc.
Total FWP: I have a $25 West Elm GC to spend. There is, like, nothing at West Elm under $25 that I want and I don't want to pay $$$ OOP. I may just buy a storage basket to have the damn thing out of my wallet.

I just got off the phone with one of their reps and she said the same thing. I told her that I found it really odd that they'd discontinue the side rails so quickly (it was a new model crib when it came out in 2012). The side rails were discontinued right about the time that all these kids started climbing out of their cribs. She said they make fewer side rails because cribs usually get passed down to the next kid instead of being used as a toddler crib.
Apparently there are THREE of these side rails left in stock at stores and warehouses across the US. Now the question is, how much am I willing to spend?

They can't expect people not to test at home!!! Fingers crossed for you!
I am flying to Orlando with DD on Friday night. We are meeting DH there, he will arrive on Wed for a conference. Upon hearing this, MIL tells me not to use the bathroom on the plane because...Ebola. Yes, sure, me and a toddler for a 2+ hour flight, plus boarding and deplaning. I really have a choice in the matter.
Are we sils?
Brooklyn 99 didn't record all the way through last night. Sad trombone. Now what will I watch all day long?
I'm on negotiations with sosome dealerships on some used 2014 caravans! Hopefully I'll have new wheels by the weekend!!
I actually got a decent nights sleep last night for first time in a week but I am feeling every bit 39wks3 days. I have been super crampy at night and I feel like an IDIOT when it comes to timing contractions. I never felt many last time before being induced and I feel lots of "action" compared to last time. I know I shouldn't get frustrated until I'm overdue officially but my body is breaking down and it's hard to chase my 1 year old. I'm hoping I have made progress at at my appt today, but probably not.....whine....
Fingers crossed for you. I'm a week behind you and was also induced with my first. I have the same concerns and suck at timing contractions - until this pregnancy I never had any on my own.

So....doesn't that defeat the purpose of buying a convertible crib and matching set? I mean, mine will be with DD until she leaves the house. If we have another kid, we'll buy another.
lulu21 yes. She is super sweet, but I think having a toddler has turned her world upside down a bit. E loves her and is actually really gentle with her, but I think she's having issue with "pack rank" in the home.
We had a nice weekend. Zoo Boo on Saturday, totally lazy day on Sunday. Plus, C had no wake-ups either night! H and I are SO BAD at any sleep regression - we've been spoiled with a good sleeper and are now bumbling idiots when she has a rough night.

I am teaching this term and the bookstore told some of my students to buy the wrong editon of the book so the assignments I posted for each week don't match. Now I have to have half my class do one assignment and the other half another (about half of students read my syllabus and ordered the correct book).
Also, I am amazed how many of them have emailed asking when assignments are due. It clearly labled in the syllabus and the online protal. Look at a freaking calendar. These are Masters students......................

Fingers crossed you made progress!
I' m glad to have someone to commiserate with! Have you been checked yet? Did your dr give you any indication that you will be induced this time too? I almost wouldn't mind being induced as long as I don't have to wait til 42 weeks! I have a different dr ( we moved) and they seem more into waiting then my first was.
My H is pissed at me this morning because I sent him to settle DD at 3:00am. (After I went in and it didn't work.) He ended up staying in the recliner with her until 5:30.
I know I SAH but really you're that pissed dude. He left without saying goodbye and let me phone call go to voicemail.
We woke up to snow here this morning and ds was totally amazed by it. Walking into daycare he kept putting his hand out to feel it fall and kept pointing and saying "wowwww mama!"
Love him. And it made me stop and see how peaceful and beautiful it is.
Dropped off the application form & check at V's new daycare. It's a rainy day and there were 2 or 3 other families biking their kids there. Did I mention it's Reggio Emilia and all of the meals are made with 100% USDA certified organic ingredients? And they call their art room the atelier? We are a going to be a walking biking cliche of North Seattle yipster lifestyle. Might as well own it.
