It has been a nice weekend of lots of sleeping after a crazy past couple of weeks. I ran some errands yesterday and my hips, upper thighs, and abdomen were hurting so bad I could barely walk. I've just been in a lot pain lately and I've been having painful (maybe BH?) contractions everyday. It's starting to make me a little nervous but I'm wondering if it's just 3rd tri pains? I have an appointment to see my OB tomorrow so I was going to bring it up. I would also feel better if she did a cervical check just to be sure.
It's only been 29 weeks so peanut better stay put!
My anxiety was very high yesterday into last night. I woke up at ten til 2 to pee, and then heard some kind of squeaking noise I determined to be something with the furnace vents. So while that was keeping me awake my H woke up and heard it, but then promptly went back to sleep and was breathing SO heavily. I wanted to smother him. Then every random noise I heard made me paranoid that someone was either in our house or outside of it (super irrational since we have a barky dog that would have let us know this).
OMG, I was up past 4 before I feel asleep again. It was miserable. I feel better now, other than being tired, so my anxiety better stay away. Gah.
On a happy note, tonight my H is taking me to see the So You Think You Can Dance tour as part of my birthday gift.
I have the day off (I used some of my remaining vacation days to schedule some long weekends) and I am so happy. I got absolutely nothing done yesterday so I am hoping to fix that today. I am also getting my hair highlighted.

Aaaand before I could hit send, I found my dog chewing up a library book. This is the fourth one she has chewed in two months (the first three were stacked together on the counter and she knocked them all over and chewed up all three). I put them in high places, but she finds a way to get them down. I am so pissed. This is a $30 book that I didn't even really care about reading.
We had our shower yesterday, and now my house looks like a bomb went off in the living room. There is piles of baby stuff everywhere! I don't know where we are going to stick everything, but this is a good problem to have. My shower was perfect. I'll try and post a couple of pics once I get them off my camera.
Yeah, I couldn't sleep either. I didn't fall asleep until after 2:30pm, and then was up for work at 6:30am. I had some sort of weird anxiety going on. Not fun!

I went to IKEA (twice) this weekend, modified some curtains from there for the nursery, and hung the curtain rod this weekend. Last night I was SO sore. That lovely crotch pain was so so bad. Once I was in bed my leg kept twitching and DH was snoring. But once I was asleep I slept well. Woke up nauseous, and it took a couple hours to go away. But nausea with baby movement at the same time is super gross. I still have one curtain panel to modify (cut off grommet top, sew pocket top for rod and add pompom trim on side). Plus I have to grocery shop today too so we can eat. I hate that grocery shopping is so exhausting!! As if going wasn't annoying enough, after I go I can't do anything else!

I "slept" til 5:30 but I do not feel ANY more rested then when I wake up 5 times a night! I woke up with a super full bladder and just wanted to cry while I was attempting to get up. It does not help that i had a dog on the floor next to my bed, which makes it hard to get my footing, and two cats on the bed.
The joint where my leg and hip meet is KILLING me today. It hurts to walk.
Positive of the day - spirit week which means I get to where a jersey and yoga pants today!
I'm just now (26 weeks) starting to feel less mobile and it's honestly scary. Yesterday I walked around a bit, not anywhere near what I would normally consider a lot, and when I came home my feet/calves were killing me. I rested a bit and spent the rest of the evening doing laundry and ironing and cleaning, which was prob a mistake, but I just can't sit around all the time, you know? Making me very nervous for third tri.
Got a call from a midwife this morning with my GBS results: negative!!!
So excited. Means I can go ahead with a planned home birth. And if I do end up going to the hospital I won't have to worry about timing for antibiotics or have to stay for monitoring.
Installed infant car seat today plus a new slimmer model car seat for our 22 month old. It's tight but we've got all three across the back. My 5 year old got in the car today and was very excited to see the baby car seat installed next to his booster. So cute. He is really excited about this baby and I can't wait for him to meet him or her.
We have a family shower out of town this weekend, and I need to figure out what to wear. It's very much a jeans crowd, but I feel like I should wear something a little nicer.
It's all very surreal that I'm now in 3rd tri and having a shower this weekend for my baby. It's hard to put into words, but things are starting to move quick, and it's all hitting me how much things are going to change.
2) I think the bump grew a little bit more! But then again I guess it depends what I'm wearing. I went for a walk after work Friday and got hit on 4 times!!! This never happened when I wasn't pregnant, seriously never. The pregnancy boobs must bring the guys out like a moth to a flame! Not gonna lie though, I haven't been feeling my best, so it was a nice ego boost.
3) I also slept like crap last night. Baby was kicking like crazy for 3 hours straight last night, only stopped when I was sitting or standing. Needless to say I feel like a zombie today. Hoping I can finish work early today.
Heading home from ILs. Stopped at IKEA to pick up nursery dresser. I have so much fun stuff to work on this week. Jogger and bookcase arrive. Bought a diaper bag and started our CD stash. I should be fully organized by next weekend and I still have my baby shower to go in a few weeks!
I slept fabulously last night. 10 hours. Probably because we were up at 4 yesterday for DH to run a half marathon.
I got so much done this weekend! Bought and put together our IKEA Hemnes dresser, and got the nightstand assembled too. I feel like I can breathe now--we officially have all the furniture we need. We just have to move the crib and glider from C's room once we transition him to a big bed.
In other news, I'm having a bitch of a time finding a frame for the 13 by 19 artwork I bought. Ugh. I really don't want to pay for custom framing.

What about custom matting with a standard frame? Much cheaper than a custom frame, but not sure how you feel about that.
I've done that a few times and it came out a lot better than I expected.
@brie how long did the dresser take? DH and his buddy were assembling IKEA stuff yesterday. They took over an hour on a Hemnes side table and did a terrible job (will have to glue the front of one drawer on). We still have a six drawer dresser and one more side table to get done.

DH had to help me out of bed, and then off the couch today. I can barely walk. Little man is very very low and has been most of the time - it feels like a bowling ball is down there! It feels like my hips are being pulled apart recently. My OB mentioned that I am probably also having Braxton Hicks (yes probably) which is only making my belly hurt as well. I go every two weeks now, so we will see what he says tomorrow, but probably just rest and try to stay off my feet.
I think it's all relatively normal for some people - at least according to my OB who does not seem concerned. I hope you feel better!!
I just got a call from the maternal fetal medicine people, and my anatomy scan is on Tuesday, 11/24. I am very excited. And nervous. It kind of sinks in that this is a high-risk pregnancy (weight and BP issues) now that I have an appointment with them.

We did childbirth class all day Sat. The doula who taught the class was amazing! We were planning to deliver at one Kaiser hospital but based on her strong opinions and advice we have now decided to go to another one (it's only about 5 min further away- 40 min drive). She was also very pro-natural birth (which is what I was leaning towards before class) and now I feel more prepared to do this. Everyone keeps reminding me that I've done 3 Ironmans but somehow the pain of labor terrifies me.
My dad came out yesterday and cleaned our carpets! They look amazing! DH and I also stopped at BRU on the way home and got the infant car seat adapter for the BOB. I installed it and the car seat last night (on the stroller...bases will be installed in a few more weeks). We are more and more prepared every day!
Oh, and at class on Sat she mentioned that only 4-5% of women deliver on time and 90% or something crazy deliver 7-12 days past EDD (for FTM). Looks like I better mentally prepare for a Christmas baby (while still having everything ready and done just in case C decides to make an early arrival).
