May threw up all over it( see randoms thread). So how do I clean it? I think I can remove the soft cover and put it in the washer? Or is that a no no? And you can't submerge the straps right? Can I spray them with cleaner? Ugh this is so gross.
I machine wash the soft cover on gentle cycle of my Britax. I also remove the straps and submerge them but didn't know you weren't supposed to? I tried just wiping them down and they still smelled so bad so I soaked them in plain water then scrubbed with with a light soap. I think A has puked 3 times in her carseats and I did this every time.

I wish car seat manufacturers would take barf and other bodily fluids into account when they design seats. I mean, safety first but still the choice shouldn't be compromising the straps or not thoroughly being able to clean them.

I think in most cases it's a CS.FTL no no. But like I said above, neither choice is a good option.

We do the seat cover on gentle and scrub the straps with soap them spray with vinegar water to get the smell out... They should completely take throw up and potty training into the design.
