Or what I think is a drool rash? Hard to see but it's all around her mouth. It could also be a reaction to one of the solids she has eaten, but she's had this rash a week or more. I normally wouldn't care, but our photos are on Saturday!
C has gotten that a bit lately as well. I think that I figured that I was wiping her face too hard after meals. ( Whoops/ she's just such a mess it's hard not too!). Could that be it? I'm just using a softer cloth for cleaning then a light lotion after bath in the evenings.
I would just keep using the Vaseline, it should help. And I'd pat dry after meals, bath, etc instead of wiping so it doesn't get irritated any further.
Oliver has the same rash. I would just ask the photographer to photoshop it out. He/she probably would anyway. I used some aveeno and it has gotten better.

Yea, I figure she will retouch it anyway, but it's worth a shot to get rid of it.

I always just dried the area and used my nursing cream for rashes on the face/neck area. I felt safer with that on their face, since the kids always touched it and then put their hands in their mouth.
I use Aquaphor and diaper rash cream on the cheeks.I find the diaper rash cream works bes,t but I've never tried it that close to the mouth. I would try the nursing cream some of the other ladies mentioned.
