I can't decide if I'm looking forward to my work trip or not. The hours will be kind of shitty and I think I picked a crappy hotel location for 2/3 nights. But, also, I'll get to sleep in most days for the rest of the week. Tough call.
I figured out today that AJ is getting his top molars and bottom canines at the same time. That explains his lack of desire to eat anything that involves more than minimal chewing. Blerg.
He also thought it was fun to bite my shoulder until I yell "OW!" and then respond with his own "OW!". Little shit.
I'm sick of negotiating for car buying. Why can't you find a good deal quickly without having to negotiate? The dealership in my hometown has the best prices and no one down here wants to match or beat it, says they can't. So I'm looking at waiting tI'll I go home for xmas jusy to buy from the one in my hometown. I want my car now!!!!

We took DS to Target before dinner. Bad idea.
He screamed through the store. We spent more than we meant to and didn't get everything on the list because we were stressed about his yelling. Then I yelled at H and he yelled at me.
DD is asleep, my Husband is out of town, and I should be preparing myself for the wedding I am in this weekend. Covering my gray hairs, painting nails etc. Instead I am trying to figure out what I should snack on. Any suggestions?
@vicmo, I was the same way after I got my Accord last fall. Lots of ZOMG BLUETOOTH and calling people just because I could. It's so fun I think I missed the discussion but a 4 door Civic would totally be big enough for RF car seats...shit, J's 2 door civic is big enough it's just a pain in the ass to get in the backseat.
So when I asked dh to have a talk with his mom about the importance of sleep when our kids visit, I didn't realize that he was going to pick up the phone and give her a lecture today. I predict no more babysitting offers ever :\
Squishy screamed for almost half an hour while I was getting ready for work this morning because she desperately needed to take a nap, but I didn't have time to get her to sleep and let her nap at home. Daycare's report home today claims that she only napped for half an hour all day - this AFTERNOON. My baby is so overtired.
Also, Squeaky apparently didn't take a morning nap at daycare this morning either, and then only napped for an hour this afternoon. When my DW picked them up this evening daycare had a movie playing in the preschooler area and had Squeaky over there watching it too "because she was fussy." WHAT? And they said we should send more milk because they eat at 3:00pm and then get hungry again at 4:30pm. Um, no. They are TIRED. I'm so angry, but we're quitting daycare in a month anyways so it's not worth stressing about... right?
My babies take two solid 1.5-2hour naps plus a short 3rd nap a day when we're home.
Also I'm judging hard one of DH's friends on FB. Their child is in first grade and they have pulled him out of school twice already this year for vacation. WTF, it's only October and school starts after Labor Day.

DH is OOT for a work conference till Thursday. For some reason I feel so much more tired when he is OOT than when he's in-town but at work all night. I fed the kids dinner at 5:30, put them in PJs at 7, and may fall asleep myself on the couch before they do
DD was eyeing my Ben and Jerry's hazed and confused. It was the last serving in the carton so I offered her Oreos as a distraction.

Nods woke up Ace right as we were getting ready to put her to bed. He has been kind of fussy this evening which is rare for him. I was so mad because I wanted to take a nice mooing soak in the tub. Now I'm back to trying to nurse him to sleep.

I just wanna know what is wrong with my baby pug so we can figure out how to make him better hoping tomorrow brings answers. I am a super sad panda tonight.
I got a Gap Silver card in the mail so I guess that means I have a Gap/Old Navy spending problem....$800 spent there in the last year. Now I get free shipping for the next year, holla!
and really almost all of that was spent on DD, I rarely buy stuff for me there.

My kid won't go to sleep. After 4 attempts of shhhing and back rubbing and pacifier reinserting followed by screaming I brought her into my bedroom and we are watching scorpion or whatever this dumb show is called.

Please fill in the blank:
If DD (29 months) still has a fever (102.7) an hour after motrin, but she's in singing and happily rolling around in her crib, we should ______________.
Background info: She's had a low (100.6ish) fever all day while rotating tylenol and motrin, but she's been happy other than saying that she's cold when one of them starts wearing off.

Take it again? We got crazy inconsistent temps last time so I'm wary of thermometer use by nervous parents.

DH just checked it again and got 102.4, so I think at least the 102.X part is probably right. I know we can alternate Tylenol and Motin, but I don't know if we should if she isn't bothered by it. I just don't want to go to bed if it's not coming down.

Someone rented our house!! And I think we can actually start TTC in the next couple months! If I don't freak out at the thought of having two little ones.
DD is asleep…I wonder how long it will last (just like I do every night, lol. It scares me that by the time my kid sleeps through the night I might just have another one, lol.
Speaking of which, I look really freaking pregnant. DH says it is in my head but I feel like it is so obvious and I still need to wait another 10 days to tell my boss (I told my principal but not my superintendent…he is really my boss)…and then I cn tell my staff. Sigh. Shit is going to get real then.
I took a preschool tour tonight and then came home all excited to tell H about it. He then bitched about the cost and we had a huge argument that left me in tears and now I'm hiding in the bedroom.
rugbywife and stealthmom I agree with you guys on the ML thread. Not jumping in the fray because all my points have been covered and I am not an education expert but yeah... team you guys.
when I get home tonight I'm making a poll for mmm. I am genuinely surprised I'm in the minority on that thread.
Fingers crossed DS STTN tonight. I'm so tired. The random wake ups for "help blow nose" or "bad dream" really pull at my heart strings, but him and I are both SO TIRED. I know he could finally get over this bronchitis if he could get a few nights of solid sleep.

DH and I made good progress of unpacking and organizing the garage tonight in just an hour after dinner while the boys "raked leaves" in the front yard.
And I found my last kitchen box that I thought was missing!!!!!! It was driving me crazy that I couldn't find my silverware divider and giant pasta pot.
