This morning L was crying in the car on our way to drop him off at his caregiver's house. He's usually quiet and falls right asleep. I sang to him, played the classical music station (his caregiver plays it for him during the day and it seems to calm him) and he still cried. He eventually calmed down and went to sleep. Once we arrived I realized his hat had slide down on his face and covered his eyes. ETA: to clarify, it only covered part of his eyes, not his nose or mouth. Mother of year here, lol. I don't have one of those mirrors since they say its not safe if we were to get in a crash, but it's nerve wracking not being able to see him.

Guys I think I'm recovering my data! The display is just visible enough that I am amble to move my files onto my external!!! I have to pay an ungodly amount to fix the computer, but I have my files!!!!!
I thought I couldn't relate to the talk of awkward conception moments. And then I remembered that I talked to my great aunt on the phone while I was gowned up and being taken back for IVF egg retrieval.
I'm not going to go into details, because...internet. But I would not judge you. And 9 months before DS2 might have been a very large family vacation. lol.
We conceived J in my aunt and uncle's guestroom, lol.
I was going to tag Brie, but I see she already responded, LOL.
We've got a big family reunion planned for July 2015. There's a good chance we will want to be sexing it up TTC-style, and as of right now we're sharing a room with DD
I swear my H breaks the baby. If he talks loudly J breaks down and cries! Wtf?! It's lot like he's yelling. It's like if he tells a story and changes his pitch. It's the most annoying thing.
I just put C down in his crib, swaddled him, turned on white noise, and gave him his pacifier and he went to sleep!! He's never napped in the crib, or really anywhere but in a carrier or in my arms. It's been 10 minutes and he's still down. This is life changing!!!
I just bought an Angie's List deal to have our bedroom and hallway carpets cleaned. I've been putting it off for a LONG time but I know I'll be excited when they're done.
DS has been in size 6 Huggies for a LONG time, 6-8 months at least. Well he's started getting red marks on his inner thighs, so I assume they're too small. But I am extremely dubious of the size 7 Pampers I just bought (Huggies only goes up to 6). They're paper-thin. I bet they leak.
We got our check from our house sale today. I really want to Scrooge McDuck it. And then spend it all on frivolous stuff. Stupid adulthood
People rave about Jamberry nail wraps so I tried them out. They lasted 5 days for me. Maybe user error (it was my first time putting them on) but I am going to be pissed if I wasted all that money on something that doesn't work for me.
If I had known that I was going to spend all of nap time dirtying every dish in the house for lasagna, I would have preferred something without stinky squash and lowfat milk based "cream" sauce.
I heard they are pretty pricey because they are a discount on the FULL fare which people hardly ever pay and you're better off looking for a Wanna Gettaway fare for your child. I will say that having B in his own seat on our flight home was WORLDS better than having him on my lap on the way out, but that was mostly compounded by the hour long wait we sat on the tarmac before taking off on the way out used up all his sit and be nice energy.
I paid $672 RT for me and Jack (to go to freaking WI! For that much money, I want to go somewhere warm!). That comes out to 336 each way. My mom paid 295 RT just for her for the same trip. Jack is so huge and wiggly that I know I don't want him on my lap the whole time. Now I'm debating lugging our Nextfit (which we rarely use since we don't own a car), buying a scenera, or buying a CARES harness and checking the nextfit. My mom is renting a car for us so we need a carseat with us. It's a 2 hr drive from the airport to my grandmother's house.
Can you rent a car seat from the can rental agency?

My H has this loud throat-clearing thing he does fairly often and it scares the bejesus out of G. He sometimes cries. And H still hasn't learned.

My mom gave me this book (http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-My-First-Book-Night/dp/B0038AEWGW) when DD was born. She has had it for 9 years, since my sister had her first baby. My husband reads/plays it for DD every night after bath time and I love it. The voices are so cute and the song is catchy. So of course, I have been singing it in my head OVER AND OVER AND OVER for weeks.
Last night, he played it before I came downstairs so I asked him to play it again. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??

This was how I felt about every fresh 20 recipe. Oh, you want me to make my own breadcrumbs? Lol.
(Taking an extra 30+ minutes to cull the recipes for stupid work ie just buy breadcrumbs also seemed to defeat the purpose of being given a grocery list.)
I make a lot of modifications. Like the zucchini in that lasagna recipe? Never.gonna.happen.

I think that's generally frowned upon since you don't know the history of the seat. I'll probably suck it up and bring the Nextfit since we do a ton of driving out there and I want him to be as comfortable as possible.
