I drive a 2003 Taurus that used to be my husband's. Now he has a 2012 Fusion. My first car, which I actually sold about 6 months ago, was an Oldsmobile wagon. I sold it for $550 and considered it a good deal! One day I'd like a Subaru Outback, but for now it's not in the budget.
H and I share a 2006 Chevy Aveo. My H bought it while we weren't married and my 2003 Kia Spectra died 6 months ago and we got like $350 from the junk yard. Our next vehicle will hopefully be some sort of a cross over so when we have kids we won't have to purchase another one right away. But it will be a while before we can afford another car!
I have a 2008 Nissan Sentra. I still like it. DH has a 2008 Toyota Yaris and a 2003 F-250. My car is the only one we are making payments on and I only have 8 more payments.
I would like my next vehicle to be a SUV but that won't be for awhile.
In my area, most people have American cars and it's kind of frowned-upon to buy a foreign car. Where I grew up, almost everyone had a foreign car, so it's a strange switch.
I drive a 2011 GMC Acadia and H drives a 2001 Silverado. We'll probably get him a new truck in the next couple of years. It's definitely starting to drive like an older truck.

2005 Hyundai Sonata. I love it! Only a little over 70k miles. I'm going to drive it into the ground, lol. We just got a 2007 Toyota Highlander in July that H drives. Much more space than his old Hyundai Accent (2 door hatchback, actually had great trunk space and gas milage, but hell no to putting a kid in that backseat!).
Fun fact: H and I both used to have black Hyundais. Now I'm the only one in my family with a car that is not a Toyota, lol. Most are silver too. My parents have 2 Camrys that are light silver, a Sienna (white). My sister has a blue Corolla, and her BF has a dark silver Camry. We're all so original with our car choices!

My DH bought my car for me back in 2008 when when we were engaged. He told me I could get whatever I wanted as long as it was 1. safe and 2. foreign. Lol. My car before that had stranded me a couple of times and since he was traveling for work he wanted me in something safe and reliable.
He has a Ford but says it's okay because it has a Mitsubishi motor.
There have been several times this past year that we've wished we had a larger vehicle though. So I've been really wanting an SUV. Just hard to find one that has the gas mileage that I prefer and with a cost I can afford.

This is kinda how it is here too, haha. My parents swear by "foreign" cars (Toyota, Hyundai and Honda specifically). I do too after my and my family's experiences with them. They seriously last forever and have had very minimal problems (my Mazda Millenia was a different story, but that was mostly because of how that car was made and because it wasn't made anymore). But around here, it's all about trucks and American cars. I kinda get the trucks because there are a lot of farms around here, but they take up so much damn space in the parking lots

Just got a new car a few weeks ago It's a silver Audi Q5 and I am in lovvvveee with it-- if not a wee bit scared I'm going to damage it.
H and I share for now. When we moved his car ended up sitting in the drive way for months. We were paying insurance on something that literally never got driven. We carpool to work and if one person needs the car for something we make it work. We keep saying when we have a baby we will get a second, but that hasn't become an issue yet so we just save that extra money.
I got a 2013 Ford Edge last month. Before that, I had a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe. H has a 2009 Sonata. I love(d) all three cars! I kind of wish I had bought something cheaper, but I am enjoying the fanciness! I love having leather seats now!
It's funny how many of us there are and they seem popular on MM, too. But where I am, I'm pretty much the youngest person driving one by 15-20 years lol.
