I don't understand how you tried so hard to make it right and the recipient never received a gift. I guess I don't understand the difficulty in going to the Post Office or something...even I can get to the Post Office with my crazy schedule. So what did you do/not do that the end result was still no gift after apparently trying very hard...just give excuses?
Mail is hard, yo!
*-)
If only there were electronic gift cards. Or websites that shipped shit directly to whatever address you specify.

I know I suck at mailing things, so I've declined participating or shopped online and sent it directly to the person. But now USPS shipping is available 24/7 thru their postal machines and you can even print postage online (saves some $$ too).
I ordered from amazon and accidently sent it to myself. Was out of town for work for the next month or so. Then I attempted to send it again, this time I keyed in the wrong address. And then I tried to send it from Amazon one more time and again sent to my LA address.
Then I tried again this spring and still have the incorrect address. I reached to the recipient to clarify address or get an email to send an online gift and no response.
I reached out again this month to say I'm in the area and would love to somehow make it right.... No response.
So small mistakes and being out of town + moving + recipient saying "Don't worry about it" and it never got sent.
Ya'll seem to be more butt hurt about it than the person herself. But seeing how people like her over me I'm not surprised.

Anyway, that's the last time I explain it.
But really, you don't know your own address different 3x? DD could remember our address about a week after we moved, and she was 6 years old.

Do you know how many different addresses I've had over the last 2 years? Lol. My Amazon had over 6 different addresses before I cleaned it up last week.
3 of which are in LA. And I only lived there for 5 months. And then there was Vegas. Plus 2 different San Diego ones. And of course, my Utah address. Oh and the incorrect one for the gift recipient.
But I digress. No matter what I say it won't change anyone's opinion on the matter.

I just put a note on the main board of Elfster for our page, and thought this might be handy for others. I created a pinterest wish list, and that's usually the one I update for friends and family, so I just put a link to that board in my elfter wishlist.
It was suggested we do a gtky questionnaire. Answer these questions to help your elf shop!

Things you love? Food, chocolate, food, spending family time, pedicures, football, the color pink, red wine
Things you wouldn't be excited to receive? lotions, candles, smelly stuff...i'm really picky about scents
Favorite thing about Christmas? Everything...Shopping for others, giving gifts, baking, family time

Things you wouldn't be excited to receive? candles (I never have a lighter around to light them, and I have cats, who knock them over) anything black licorice or coffee flavored, lotions or shower gels (but smelly spritz stuff from B&BW is ok!) smelly stuff that smells like food or seasonal smells. I'm thinking I should make a list of the smells I do like, lol!!)
Favorite thing about Christmas? Can I opt out of this one? I don't like Christmas this year.
Any other information? To my SS, I have a link to my wishlist pinterest board. Please let me know if you aren't able to see that link.
