I'll let that sink in for the rest of you... time flies, man.
I'm curious how long people worked out through pregnancy? I keep hearing stories of people that did spin the morning of their delivery and things like that. Honestly, guys, I'm getting tired. It's been hard, and having to modify so much is a little mentally taxing because I am so used to performing at my physical best every day. I've cut out spin because that seat hurts too damn much. I still crossfit, lift, and jog in classes. Still working out 2x/day 3 days/week and 1x/day 2 days/week. So that's 8+ workouts/week.
My goal is the first week in December, which is my Baby WoD at my CrossFit box. They are letting me design a workout for everyone to celebrate the baby, including zero burpees (since she's zero!) After that, I'll probably stick to waking and very light strength training, plus the yoga type stuff that I'm using to strengthen my 'delivery muscles', per my instructor.

My doctor had me on a heart rate limit and I honestly forget what it was, but it ruled out spin class that's for sure. I "worked" out up until the week of DS's birth, but it was easy work outs, like water aerobics, walking, and beginner yoga.

Things started to tank around 26 weeks. Here is my timeline:
Ran ran until about 25 weeks - no walk breaks. "Ran" a half marathon at 29 weeks (walk/run intervals) Continued walking/running until 32 weeks. Running was really hard and painful and I had to stop. Did yoga until 38 weeks. I did a regular class and the instructor was awesome about modifying for me. The last class I took with her she designed as a prenatal class for everyone, lol! After that I was just too big and bulky. Walked 2-3 miles per day until 40 weeks 5 days. Then I gave up because even sleeping was uncomfortable.
I started wearing my LO at 2 weeks old and he was a little heavier than birth weight. That gave me some perspective. I don't know how I didn't split in half walking and running with him in utero do what makes you feel good. It's so hard to back off but even just walking is so good for you.
Your workouts are kicking my preggo workouts butt! So congrats rockstar you should be proud!

Probably 140. That advice is insanely outdated.
It was probably right after the start of 3rd tri that I started cutting back. We were coming up on the holidays so time was a factor, and then I started retaining water and pretty much said fuck everything.
Just prenatal yoga, that's when things started to get really uncomfortable.
I did go for a run/walk the day before DD was born, but that was supposed to be labor inducing (it worked!).
I wish I had done a little more, but things got really busy around that time since we had just moved into our new house and everything was in upheaval.

I was pretty much done with any type of formal workout by the 3rd trimester with my 1st. Just some easy walking and lots of nesting/cleaning (we were moving into a new house at the time).
I was still working out consistently about 5-6 days a week up until the end with DS, although it was non-impact stuff like the ellitpitical and spin class.
Everyone is different. Heck, every pregnancy is different! Cut yourself some slack and enjoy the calm before the storm
Thank you all Sounds like I can listen to my body a bit and cut back now, at least somewhat. I'd still like to make it to Baby WoD, but after that I'll probably drop down to walking and some yoga.
Do what you feel comfortable with. If you don't feel like it-then don't. Or modify your expectations-a walk instead of a run, a swim instead of something else.
I ran up until the day before I went into labor. I had an insanely easy pregnancy though-and some of my best pregnant runs were while I was 30+ weeks pregnant.

I rode until the week before I delivered (trainer only) and at that point it was only because I found it so hysterically funny that I amused myself by exercising.
Do what you find fun at the end - prenatal yoga classes, walking, whatever, just try to enjoy it
I ran on the treadmill up to 39 weeks and had the baby at 40w2d. The last few runs I had to take a few breaks to walk. I looked at myself in the mirror while I ran since it was in front of the treadmills and I did NOT look graceful at all. I also kept lifting and doing pilates core workout: This one by healthandwholeness on you tube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_gfuQ-nm1A The day I delivered I walked 1 mile but that was mostly to get things going since the contractions were slowing down.
All that said some days I could do more than others. Just listen to your body. Congrats on getting to the third tri already! So exciting!
I was due in January. I ran a little bit through October and November, but mostly walked and did an easy exercise video every now and again. I did nothing in December but eat Christmas cookies, lol. January came around and I decided I was ready to have a baby. I ran a little thinking that would make things progress. I had DD2 on the 4th (due around the 12th), so I think those 3 days of exercising helped
Oh and a carseat if you want to come home from the hospital. Also stay in the hospital as long as you can! Man we had things down pat in there and then we went home and all hell broke loose!
Yeah - do whatever you feel like. This is one of the few times in your fitness life that you can really just be mellow about your workouts whenever you want - no need to push yourself or follow a plan.
I only did prenatal yoga with DD and walking around a campus (I was in grad school ). This time I'm doing lots of hot yoga and run/walks (haven't swam since I outgrew my suit, lol), and I'm only sticking with everything because it's still fun. I will be happy to wind down whenever my body needs me to.

Haha everyone is like "you'll want to go home as soon as you can!" and I'm like "look, I got people bringing me food, there are diapers and supplies aplenty, and there's a button that would deliver me more pain medication as needed. What's the rush, home will be there FOREVER once we do leave!"

I struggle with thoughts like "should I push harder" and "I can do more" and I just can't seem to respond to it. So tired.
I ran until 32 weeks, did spin class at like 36 weeks, and was walking regularly up through 39w3d (water broke at 39w5). I think the last trimester is all about listening to your body more than anything else with regard to working out

Just listen to your body. I ran until 39 weeks and lifted until 41. I was slooooooooow, but I was still enjoying myself. I stopped when it stopped being fun.

Listen to your body. My last run was at 37.6. I worked out 2 days last week and then have been too busy working the past 6 days to get to the gym. I'm on maternity leave as of now, so plan on the stair mill and lots of walking until baby comes. Maybe some light weights. Just keep up what you feel comfortable with. Some days are better than others. Keep up kegels and squats so pushing her out will be easier ;-).
Walking, prenatal yoga, prenatal barre, and reformer pilates until the day I delivered. Everything was modified and I didn't push hard at all. I had to actually increase my level of activity third tri to combat GD, so I just aimed to move in some way for 30min a day.

Yep, don't rush it! They wanted to discharge us a day early this time, and we're all "Nope, we're good here". We were taking every day insurance allowed for a c-section.
I am a special snowflake here, but I ran until about 17-18 weeks. Then I walked until I was put on strict bedrest at 33 weeks. I was walking about 40 minutes on the treadmill at a decent incline. With the belly and extra weight, my heart rate was definitely as high as when I ran, so it was a good workout.
Oh and stay in the hospital as long as you can. I gave birth on Saturday night/Sunday morning, so we were there until Tuesday morning. My two were in the special care nursery, and they let me stay an extra day even though I was cleared to go. And I recommend sending the baby (ies) to the nursery for some sleep for you and your H. I know some hospitals don't have a nursery per se anymore, so it might depend on where you deliver.

Good luck! I can't believe you are so close. I have no advise about working out because I didn't start being active until after my kids were born.
With DS, we stayed in the hospital for 2 days. They basically had to kick us out. I was so scared of taking care of him with just H's help.
With DD, I checked out 24 hrs after she was born. I had a very quick med-free labor and she nursed great right away. My tailbone was very uncomfortable in the hospital bed and I was anxious to get home to DS. For the first day after she was born, I think I was still running on adrenaline and felt pretty great (besides the sore tailbone). The second and third day, I started to really feel worn out (not tired from lack of sleep but sore and exhausted from what by body went through/was going through). I'm terrible at letting other people help, and I probably overdid it those days. That said, I don't regret leaving early.
This isn't necessarily advice - I just wanted to gab about myself.

With #1, I was able to do a light pregnancy cardio workout until about mid-way through the 3rd trimester. With #2, I was down to nothing more than a lap or two of the neighborhood by the start of the third tri...it was way too hot (late August baby) and I had issues with one leg that caused pain if I stood for too long and landed me in EXTREMELY uncomfortable full support hose. I did go back to exercise the day after she was born, though, by doing laps around the maternity floor. The nurses cheered me on every time I passed them. :-)
FWIW, I'm afraid of CF and I'm not PG, so kudos for doing it at all, especially now!
