Ugh so scary. My sister works at a women's shelter downtown that is never closed but they were able to lock down as well thankfully. She actually just messaged to say she's out right now driving a client home right now and the city is eerily quiet.
I used to live right downtown and worked at the rideau centre.
DH my BIL and SIL are still locked up in their offices. My nephew will be stuck at dc for a while. They are searching cars crossing the bridges one by one.
I usually don't let this kind of stuff affect me, but between this and the two soldiers killed in Quebec yesterday or the day before.... I don't feel as safe as I did yesterday. That's for sure. I am glad everyone's family and friends are safe.
