For me, because it's awesome to come home to a clean bed to sleep in without having to actually wash/dry the sheets and remake the bed. Our housekeeper does this and I love it. But now I kind of want a HB that I can carry around in my pocket. Lol.
I'm going to have to get a PA if this works out for you. This is all stuff DH SWORE he would do if he retired and he does none of it. Except the dogs. He does walk the dogs for an hour each day, and takes them to the dog park. But that's it. He doesn't even do a good job supervising the cleaning lady. My clothes are never put away where they are supposed to be.
I had this job before! It was fun. I did grocery shopping and meal prep too. And ran kids around town. Together we organized her whole house pretty much. I don't work for her anymore and my job changed over the years (started working at her office) but we are still great friends!
It sounds like he'll work out well. Of course everything isn't going to be perfect the first time. He needs to get to know your ways and you his. I'm very envious!
omg I would totally pay someone to come and do our laundry if I could. Neither of us like to do it so it sits in baskets forever after it's washed. I'm jealous
The best part of house cleaners was that they made the bed.
I always make the bed before the house cleaners come because I am embarrassed for them to see it all messy and touch our slobbery, sexed on sheets. I guess I should stop doing that?
I want someone to do my laundry and wash my floors. And shred my junk mail. Maybe I need a personal assistant. Seriously, though, this is in the cards for the next jump in our HHI. We want to hire someone to come by for about an hour or two every other day and just keep the household moving. I'm thinking a college student. I would have loved a job like this when I was a student.
