This map is interactive and you can see if your county - or surrounding counties have any armored vehicles and the number of assault rifles and other equipment they have received from the military.

My county doesn't show anything, but the county I grew up in has 178 night vision pieces, 48 body armors, 11 assault rifles, 4 shotguns, 1 mine-resistant vehicle and 1 other armored vehicle. Gosh, I never encountered any mines in my 13 years there...

whoa. that's...preparation?
We do have a big military base there, but I doubt that factors into these counts... I somehow don't feel safer for having all that artillery!

Way more stuff than I thought. I don't mind the body armor, though. Two "other" armored vehicles and one mine resistant one. Alameda has none, which explains why OPD doesn't roll one out during protests. They do have a grenade launcher, though.
Why TF does the Sarasota County Florida police department have multiple grenade launchers??? Do old people fighting over coupons at Publix really require grenade launchers??

San Diego county doesn't have much that they got from govt surplus. We do have a ton of military bases in the area so I think between the local police, navy, ice and marines we have enough firepower and equipment to invade a few countries.
