I tasked DS with folding his cloth diapers and putting them away in his room while I put laundry away in my room. I went down to his room after he told me he was done and put my hand out for a high five since he folded them and put the basket away.
Instead of a high five he took my hand, shook it up and down, and said, "It's so nice to meet you!"

I needed that laugh today.
love this!
a few months back we went to visit Grandma - which is nothing unusual, we're there all the time - and DD says as she walks up the back stairs into her house "What a lovely home you have Grandma!" ... not sure where she picked that up but it was priceless.

Awww, that's amazing! Kids are so damn funny.
J has started doing this thing where he laughs at himself. And not just a little baby giggle, a full on big boy laugh. We were at a cancer walk last weekend and he would just walk up to people and do this big, boisterous laugh. It was awesome.

lol!
My aunt from OOT was visiting my grandma recently and my sister took her kids over there too. They had been there for a while and aunt showed my nephew pictures of their safari, they talked about other stuff, had lunch, and then out of the blue my nephew (4) says to Aunt "Hey, I know you. You haven't been here in weeks!" Like it took him a bit to put it together that he really knew her. Kids are funny.
