And why does MD even have cell phone laws? Nobody obeys them.
This is true! Even the cops are *always* on their phones. I saw one on our road last week that pulled over to talk; but yea, I try to not use my phone in the car anyway because I'm an easiy distracted person anyway....
No way MD drivers are the worst. Everyone that side of the beltway drives like a selfish ass.
I could say the same about the damn DC beltway
We're terrible around here. MD drivers are overly aggressive, DC drivers are maniacs and VA drivers are so clueless I often wonder if most of us realize we are, in fact, driving a motor vehicle.
You people are making me want to go back and watch the first season of Breaking Bad again to see if it really was as good as I remember it. Because I remember it being crazy good, and I initially wasn't interested in watching it because the premise sounded kind of dumb to me. I apparently have a fascination with shows that are gruesomely violent, though, because I am also in love with Sons of Anarchy and that shit is crazy too. (No one say anything, I've got two episodes waiting for me on the TiVo for this weekend!).
Bacon is tough to get right. I like mine kind of crispy and kind of chewy, but with no squishy fat left on it. I do it in the oven and it usually does not come out perfectly, but it's better than no bacon at all.
My UO: we spent one night in a hotel last week with all three kids, and it was a damn nightmare. No one slept at all, everyone cried most of the night and we were all cranky the next day (especially me), and based on that experience I can say that any desire I might have had to travel with my children is gone and I have no idea how other people do it and find it enjoyable.
Yes! We went to Vegas last week and DS slept in a crib in the hotel bedroom with us and we were so tore up in the morning. He kept waking up when we rolled around and then I woke up at 2 am to see him standing in the crib creepily staring at us in the dark. Also, his naps were lame and he was crabby on the drive. So jealous of how some people have kids that travel well

Hubs and I went away over the summer and lo wouldn't sleep in her pnp. We had to bring her into bed with us, it took her like a billion years to settle down, by the time she fell asleep it was like 2am. It was insane. I woke up with her at an angle, i had a tiny corner of a pillow under my head and I would have fallen off the bed if I moved. Never again. We're going to start looking into adjoining rooms, no matter the cost.
Actual UO today - mostly because I know there's a lot of PA people on here so I'm sure it will be unpopular.
I think PA drivers are the WORST, they are just awful. We're close enough to the border that our area is just inundated with them and I swear I cringe whenever I get behind a PA tag. They drive below the speed limit, don't know how to merge, and just....ugh!
I agree. Whenever we have to pass through PA to get to Cabelas, I want to cry. They are truly the worst.
I love the inbetween stage of bacon. A tad of chew with crunch. Right now though, as hungry as I am, I would eat burnt bacon.
I love burnt toast too.
This is going to sound very odd, but I like my toast burnt also, but cold so that the butter doesn't melt and then I drink hot tea or hot coffee with it, so that the heat from the liquid melts the butter while I'm eating it. Don't ask me why, but YUMMY.

I think MA drivers are the worst. I cringe every time I see one, I just know they will live up to their nickname. Massholes.
Massholes are the worst. We moved to Boston about 2 years ago and I was scared for my life at first. This is the only place I have seen people who are trying to make a left hand turn at an intersection think that they can go first and have the right of way when the light turns green. Yield means nothing to these people. Neither do lanes.
I'm not a big fan of bacon. I used to say I hated it, but when I was pregnant I craved it a few times and now I find it...tolerable. If DH makes some I will eat a bite sometimes, just one.

You have to wear them out more! In Disney they were so freaking tired every night that they crashed hard and didn't make a peep. I don't know, we've done one room many times and it's been fine. Would a suite be nicer? Sure - but even if they were in a separate place from us, they'd still be in each other's space. On trips that lend themselves to more space (financially & logistically) we do it. But lots of times if we needed twice as much in hotel costs, we wouldn't get to travel as much.
I can think of a handful of bad nights, but obviously they weren't bad enough to stop us from going somewhere again.
ETA: I know ages and spread of kids makes a difference. Also, after another year when Jack is out of the PNP, we'll have to get bigger rooms since we'll be 5 people. That will be interesting.
Breaking Bad is the best. I don't see how you aren't hooked after episode 1?!?!?!
Walter White. In tighty whities. In the desert. Come on!
**insert puking emoticon at that last sentence** Of course, it could be Wentworth Miller in tighty whities. I DONT CARE! Any man thigh, any, is horrendous. No matter on who it is
And I started watching this on the recommendation of so many people from this board. How did you guys not think it was slow?! It took them two episode to kill those guys off. Dude, kill him and get it over with, I want to get down to the nitty gritty and dive into the story. No one likes a tease!

We actually did have a suite, and the kids were in the living room area with two hotel-provided mini cribs and a folding toddler cot that we brought with us. And we spent the day at the safari park and DS wasn't in a stroller at all and had to walk with us the entire time, so I'm not sure how much else I could have done. But it was whack-a-mole all night long. I think I got maybe two hours total with all three asleep. Maybe it's one of those things where they get better at it as they do it more often, but it definitely wasn't an encouraging experience.
I hate Atlanta drivers. I swear to God, every year I've gone down to visit my family, something bad had almost happened each time. Like the time a guy got pissed at my dad for merging into his lane. He got in the other lane to come around us (while we're all going about 75-80) and drive along side us. He was in a huge ass redneck as shit truck and yelling and giving us the finger. He then swerved at us and came with two inches of hitting my dad's car. Then my dad being the asshole he is did the same thing to him.
I was crying and thought for sure I was going to die (I had just found out I was pregnant with A). I yelled and cussed at the jackass truck driver, I yelled and cussed at my dad. Needless to say, I don't drive with him unless I have to, or I steal the keys and drive. My heart can't take any more Atlanta trips with my dad,
No, damnit! You guys are supposed to say how awesome it is :(Ssigh, we'll probably keep watching it just to see if it picks up, but I don't have my hopes as high now. It's just not sucking me in like Prison Break, Dexter, or House of Cards. Plus, seeing the dad from Malcom in the Middle wearing tighty whities all the time makes me want to vom. I have no desire to see that much man thigh on any guy.
It took me till the second season, maybe 2 or 3 episode into it. I binged watched and the only reason I kept watching is because I saw an episode with my SIL from the last season and I wanted to understand what was going on. I ended up becoming obsessed. I don't think if I watched it when it was actually on I would have kept watching because it started off slow.

Yeah we had a huge suite at the trump hotel so he napped in a dark quiet, separate room in a crib. We also tried sleeping in the other room but he was still restless.
Lol at whack a mole!
I am sure once our kids get older, these will just be funny stories to tell...right? Right?? Haha

Oh agreed on the puking emoticon! It wasn't a 'oh so sexy' statement. More like a 'holy shit where can they take this and how will this pan out' statement. hahaha

Florida drivers. Dude. There are no words!
Speed limit is 70. I'll be going 75/78. People fly around me doing 90 like I'm going 35!!!!
Aaaaand one of those people would be my (85 year old) Grandma. She speeds like nobody's business. Her reason: because she doesn't want people to think she's "old and slow".

Skinny jeans are just too fitted for me, if that makes sense. Also, my friend told me I can't "pull off" skinny jeans because I am a mother and over 30. I actually didn't mind the way they looked on me, but maybe my friend was just being a jerk? It's been known to happen.
