So my emails to a public official were part of a FOIA reques

a school board member requested all of the emails from me to the superintendent... She also asked for emails for a few other parents too.

Is she probably taking it too far in asking for your specific emails, yes. Is what she's doing legal and above board, yup.

FOIA is no joke, and I am very, very careful what I've written as a public sector employee, and what I write to public sector employees, now that I'm not working in it.
