Does anyone have this? I saw it in a friend's kitchen a couple of years ago and it really left an impression on me. I love it but have no idea of the cost differential from polished.
Yes, what she said. I liked honed and thought that was what I wanted but it is more porous and easier to stain. Leathering seals the granite similar to polished granite.
I called a few places nearby and they said if we pick a pre-existing slab that is already leathered the price is the same, if we have them do it it's $10-12/sf more.
