DD STTN !!! She hasn't STTN in.. man, I don't even know, since August. She went to bed at 8:30, it's 7a now, and she's still asleep.
I'm also having our first non-family babysitter (besides the Y) keep DD today. DH is nervous, I'm feeling okay about it. It's only for 2 hours or so, and she was recommended by some friends whose son she keeps.
We are keeping said friends son this weekend while they travel out of state for a funeral. He is 18 days older than DD. Fingers crossed he doesn't scream the whole weekend!

I have toddler problems at my house. DS bit and broke 2 bottle nipples so he's losing his mind that his bottle doesn't work. I have one more nipple but I don't want him to bite that too. Maybe this is forced weaning from the bottle.
He also is a graham cracker maniac but must have whole crackers. He's going to freak when I hand him the only cracker left in the house, a broken one.
I'm so glad he got up at 5 so we could have all this quality time.
I think DH is hiding my clothes instead of putting them away. I am missing a ridiculous number of tanks and camis along with a bunch of sweaters, leaving me mostly cardigans to wear. With nothing under them. While he may appreciate that look, my boss will not. I tore the house apart looking for the missing stuff today, waking DD up in the process, and I cannot find them anywhere.
CIO night 1 was awesome. It was painful to get there (almost 90 minutes of crying) but she slept until 1, went right back down, slept until 6. You guys....8pm to 6am IN HER CRIB with only ONE wakeup! I haven't spent a night alone in bed with H in months. I slept in whatever position I wanted and pulled the covers up to my chin. Amazing, I tell you!
I hope this is the beginning of better sleep for us.
Goodbye Cruel Nest where we all migrated from when they totally fucked up the old boards.
E's diaper rash was better, but not great this morning. I asked daycare to change her more when she's awake and just keep slathering the A&D on. It's like her pee has suddenly become super strong and it's really irritating her. It's just bright red.
She also has some dry patches on her face, so I've been doing the dream cream every morning and night, but all she wants to do is try and eat it. Toddlers man.
I AM LEAVING WORK, DOING SOME SHOPPING, AND THEN MEETING SOME SORORITY SISTERS FOR DRINKS AT A MEXICAN RESTAURANT!!!! I cannot wait for some "me" time and some tequila.

So many of my clothes end up in DH's dirty laundry pile. It's annoying!
Hold me, I'm attempting potty training today. I bribbed her with candy to get her to sit on the potty this morning. She cried while she sat there when I got her dressed and then I give get three m& ms and she got upset because she wanted more. I think it is going to be a long day and that she is not ready but I feel like I should try.
My mom is at our house watching G today. We're heading to their house on Saturday am to celebrate my dad's b-day. This will be G's first road trip (2 hours) and first time back to my hometown. So many ppl there are excited to meet him.
@this - I saw you're a david sedaris fan in the gtky thread. I met him earlier this month and he's so awesome in person! He also signed my copy of "Me Talk Pretty One Day" with a creepy bloody scissor drawing. Lol?
Morning! I had blocked how much newborn sleep deprivation sucks from my mind. Good thing DD is here to remind me sleep is optional!
I snapped at H MOTN. I asked for help and he was super groggy and said something like, "I have to sleep. I actually have to work with real people in the morning." And then fell back asleep. Not cool, bro!
Bad Mr. Tulips! My H pulled something similar. When I've been getting up motn to pump or feed G, he's been asking me if there's anything he can do help. Sweet, right? Usually I tell him no. Last night I said something along the lines of putting more covers on my side of the bed. No response. So I keep talking. He's fast asleep. Apparently he's just saying it in his sleep and doesn't mean it. Ugh.

So, A's black leggings, which I was going to send to DC for her Halloween costume, have gone missing. I need to do our laundry this weekend and hope they wound up in there, but she may just have to have bare legs (or maybe be a pink-legged bumblebee!) for the Halloween party.

DS turns 3 today! Holy F I have a three year old. Today he woke up and said "I am big, just like you" and then told me that he was now old enough to cook dinner all by himself.
Of course, he also told me we were having cake for dinner.
I had a health evaluation at work this morning for my health insurance. My blood pressure was so low that they had to take it twice because protocol doesn't allow them to accept a top number below 100. Well, it was even lower the second time. So basically, I'm barely alive. lol
Why oh why are all my neighbors idling their cars? You'd think we were in fucking Alaska. It's 48 degrees!
I know this is weird, but people who act like fucking wimps in the cold really irritate me. Like when it's 58 degrees or something, and people are in bubble jackets and scarves. At 58, I'm like, "Finally, it's cardigan weather!" I won't wear a jacket until it's consistently under about 45. And for like the entire day. Today it was 50ish when I left the house, but it will be over 60 today, so cardigan ONLY.
I guess this is where I admit that I sore a winter coat when the high was 71 yesterday. But the high temperature doesn't help me much when I leave the house before sunrise and it's in the 40s.
I had made plans with DS's favorite playmate to go to a bouncy house place today. But they canceled, boo I've texted every other mom I know, they're all busy. I guess DS and I will go alone, but damn I wanted some company. Bouncy houses are no fun alone, DS will want to play with me, I wanted him to play with a friend!
DS tried WCM last night and holy hell, he loved it. I only offered a little with dinner just to see if he would throw the sippy. He finished it and kept pointing at the sippy. I offered his water, but he just kept pointing at the milk sippy.
Guess this transition will be easier than anticipated. But, dude. Mama paid for the entire tub of formula, so you're gonna finish that first.

That's a crazy protocol! My normal is about 80/60 - 90/70.
Basically I think they just had to double check it to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I think it was 96/68 or something the first time and then 94/64 the second time. She did write down the second try and we moved on.
I'm also convinced she was psychic. I was sitting there waiting for my turn, thinking that I needed to warn her that I'm not an easy blood draw and I have a bruise from getting blood from my one semi-decent vein last week. She called me over, took one look at me and said, "You're a tough draw, aren't you?" WTF!?

J bit me yesterday...hard. I have a black and blue bruise to prove it. I was trying to clip him into his high chair and he wanted to stand, so he decided to bite me. I screamed at him, "No no! We don't bite, that's naughty!" and he could have cared less. And I was using my stern voice. When DH "yells" at him, he stops what he is doing, but not me. He just keeps right on going.
I gave a lecture late last night that went really, really well. And, as a result I'm hanging out at home, alone this morning. It's lovely. I'm going to drink all the coffee and read for a while, before doing anything remotely productive.
Yes, DH, I'm giving you the side eye for telling me you need to go back to sleep at 8:30 am because you didn't get a good nights sleep. No shit! We're both staying in the same hotel room with DS who does not sleep well in the pack & play. Guess who else didn't get a good nights sleep last night, Hun? Me!!
W'ere having still having diaper rash issues. I'm pretty sure it's a yeast one. I filled a prescription that our ped has prescribed before for him. $30 effing dollars, this stuff better be liquid gold.
We were suppose to be picking my mom up from the airport right now, but her 6 am flight still hasn't left.... She's going to be a pleasant mood when she gets here. I should probably greet her with wine at the airport...

Ugh, that sucks. DH is also clueless sometimes. He leaves for work at 5:30am and often isn't home until 7pm. This week, he was home late on Monday so I did bedtime, Tuesday was supposed to be my night to go to yoga but he called at 5:30 and said something came up so he wasn't home until 9, Wednesday he got home early and played with J until 6pm then promptly breezed out so he could make it to his Insanity workout class. Last night, he got home at 6 and I had dinner ready to go (he just needed to put in the oven). I told him I was going to run errands and would be back by 8. His response? "Well, J...I guess it's just you and me tonight". My response: "Yep, I've done it alone that last 3 mornings and nights in a row, so I fully expect you can handle this". He just doesn't get it sometimes.

LOL. Welp. You will really hate me when florida "winter" sets in.
