I still think that was easier than my friends who did three years apart had it way worse than I did with 1 year apart. I will take a million diapers over the assholishness of a three year old anyday of the week.
I have the special hell that is a million diapers AND the asshole 3 year old. Yeah me!
I have Irish twins and they will be 2/12 and 3/12 when this baby is born. I'm scared! Haha! 3 has been killer for us and my 2 yr old is just stubborn.
@kimbus - what about just sweat pants or cozy pj pants at home, sans underpants? I mean really he could go out w/o underpants and know one would know. But then I suppose you still have to "underwear train" him! Some progress is better than none, though!
I am terrified to have an asshole, and almost 2 yr old and a newborn. TERRIFIED, but, I hope that they will continue to be close and enjoy (and entertain) each other

I don't blame you. Mostly because I can barely keep myself and two other people alive.
I hope it's not weird for me to say that I really think your attitude is amazing. I know Christmas baby was a big surprise and he/or she is going to come with a new set of challenges on top of raising 3 small kids. But the way you've taken it all in stride is really fucking awesome. Those kids are lucky to have such a kick ass mother. And based on how sweet G and N are with each other, I have no doubt they'll adore the new one too.
Thanks buddy. clearly I have you fooled I really am lucky to have (mostly, usually) good kids. I mean, G is an asshole and a half about 40% of the time, but he can be sweet and helpful, and N is still skating by on her cuteness.

Because Nanda is fucking awesome. ::drops mic and walks away::
I had 2 under 2 (well, 2 under 1.5, really). I love how close they are now, but good gawd that first year was a special kind of hell.

I didn't want my kids 3.5 years apart but I love it. Only 1 kid in diapers, DS was incredibly independent when DD was born and there was zero sibling rivalry because he was old enough to understand what was happening. He also started preschool when she was a month old so I got lots of 1 on 1 time with her. It has been perfect for us
I have a new confession to add. DH and I had a date earlier and got tipsy so we had to walk around town for an hour before we could pick up the kids. Oops
