Just after we got married 8 years ago, we lived in a townhouse in suburbia. We got very into local food. Slowly over time we filled up the backyard with raised vegetable beds, fruit bushes along the side, DH started hunting the land of friends who had acreage. DH pitched the idea to raise tilapia (the fish) in a tank in our living room. We then decided it was time for a farm LOL.

Oh! He wanted to take DD, at 4.5 months old, to a night baseball game in Oakland by himself. He would be in a luxury box with a bunch of people I've never met. He said DD could just sit in the car seat the whole time. The list of scenarios and questions I had grew by the minute. It didn't happen.
my h is full of ridiculous ideas that i constantly side-eye.
i should write them down.
i usually agree with him though because i know he'll never do it. smart, or mean wife? lol
This exactly.
I not only agree with him, I sometimes start helping plan out his crazy ideas and then he gets all devil's advocate and starts telling me why it's not a good idea. (angel)
Trading in one of our cars for a truck for all the hauling we would need to do as homeowners. Um, what? I can think of one time in five years we've ever had to ask a friend to use his truck.
He also once suggested that we didn't need to brush DS1's teeth until all the permanent ones started coming in. Gross.
My H was trying to tell me we need a truck for all of the messy hauling we do. In reality it's just a few times a year, and easily taken care of by putting a tarp down in the back of our SUV to keep it clean.
So, yeah, H, thousands in purchasing the truck plus insurance and taxes is totally worth the few minutes it takes to put a tarp in the trunk. LOL.

That we should sell his car & be a one car family. Our cars are paid off & insurance is minimal, the inconvenience isn't worth it to me.
That we should pay 1.5 times more than our mortgage payment for the next six years because then it would be paid off. Great in theory but I'm not going to be on a squeaky tight budget for SIX years. Nope.
