im about 6w1d and have been pretty nauseous for awhile. i just hovered over the toilet for 5 mins ready to toss my pretzels but i think it went away for now. i'm terrified of puking at work, i dont want anyone to hear (i'd rather not tell my coworkers until closer to 12 weeks). any suggestions on how to deal with this? or just wait and see if they say anything?
I pretty much lived off constantly snacking on carbs/protein combos (like those pb filled pretzels) and ginger tummy drops, but I still threw up at work a few times. Keep a little something on your stomach and get some sour hard candy or invest in tummy drops, haha. Sorry you're feeling bad.
I have been snacking constantly (i was actually eating pretzels when the incident happened lol). i guess i was just wondering if there are clever ways to "hide" it... unfortunately both of our bathrooms are very close to some work spaces, so privacy isn't the best. thankfully they are single bathrooms at least. all i can think of is running the water but that feels obvious.

sorry you are feeling sick! I generally have a fear of throwing up places, so first tri nausea is like my worst nightmare. I kept my nausea at bay by treating the heartburn I was also suffering from and eating all day long. Every hour a small snack, whatever sounded good. With my first it was granola bars, applesauce, and fruitcups. With this pregnancy pretzels, graham crackers, and bagels got me through the morning.
Except that many people still feel crappy even on zofran. Just want the OP to know that it isn't necessarily a cure-all. I was on it all 9 months (HG) and still felt nauseous - it just kept me from throwing up (most of the time).
If you do get zofran, make sure you take colace simultaneously.

Oh I know. I still puked on zofran but there are also other meds that can help. I was just saying if she hadn't thought of meds, that's a good place to start.
