I hate that I have lost my knittin' mojo. There just never seems to be enough time in the day to sit down and do just a little bit. And when I do, I get so danged discouraged and I just stop. Right now I am taking accounting classes at night and working full time. Hubby and I are trying to remodel our rent house so that we can move into it and sell our current house and we have had no time whatsoever.
And I have all this super wonderful yarn to knit with... and it's just sitting there.... sigh.
Someone come kick my arse and get me back into it again please!!
I feel like my crocheting and knitting comes in spurts. I haven't really worked on anything since the spring. I will likely do more for the holidays and later in the winter. But when the weather gets nice I do other things. I think your mojo will come back in time.
Do something super simple. A set of pretty washcloths, wrist warmers something in a chunky yarn so it goes quickly. It will come back before you know it
I'll second the advice to pick up a smaller project. I often lose steam on blankets and large sweaters and I will put them down for a couple of months. I actually have an afghan I only work on in the winter. It's a 5 year project at best.
I also find the cooler temperatures get me back indoors and productive. Hopefully things will cool off for you soon!
I hear you! I have to spend half my day driving my kids to therapy. By 8 pm when they are in bed, I am too tired most days to work on projects. My basket of WIP is getting bigger since I seem to start on them, work on it for a few hours, then pick something else up. Sigh.
