I don't know if you have this in the States, but here, if a soldier passes, he is transported from Trenton base to the Toronto Forensics office via this highway. And each time this happens, people line up to salute the Soldier. This is from today where Cpl. Nathan Cirillo was transported to Toronto.

I still can't believe this happened. I can't bring myself to go down town. I just can't. DH went to work the rest of the week. He walks right by parliment. He said his heart races every time. Scray. Sad. Ugh.

I saw the pic of his mom walking behind his casket, her face made me cry. No one should every have to bury their child.
I never knew they did that on the HOH, it's a nice tradition. Poor guy, all the flags around here are lowered too, I live right off the 401 too and I did see some flags n stuff.

What a magnificent and touching tribute. Everything about that is beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. The dog pictures and the picture of his mother are chilling, how tragic.
