I'm currently in limbo. DH might have to go into work tonight. He might not. They need to get approval to bring him in. So here we wait. I don't want to start dinner for both of us, in case he has to leave. He doesn't want to relax and have a beer, because he might have to drive 45 minutes to the studio. It's all rather lame.
I am waiting for my brother to get here. He is dropping off the baby around the same time Noah goes to bed. He and my SIL are just going to dinner so it will only be for a little bit. I am excited for baby snuggles. he is only 2 1/2 months old <3
Ooh I have a flameful. I'm watching the episode where Emily and Richard throw a party for all their rich friends' kids/grand kids and try to set Rory up.
Some of those guys are really cute. I'm not sure I'd complain about being the only girl.
Apparently the neighbors behind our new house have a donkey. My parents came to visit and see how the house was coming and this donkey brayed so loud I thought my mom was going to have a heart attack. It's the first I'd heard it so hopefully it doesn't do that terribly often.
H called at 4:30 today asking if I wanted to go to a hockey game because he had free tickets. Sure. Sounds like fun and we could take B for the first time. So he says call back when you get home. I call at 5:00 and no answer. Sometimes he can't answer. Fine. So I text him to let him know we're home and to ask when he would be home so I know when to start dinner. That way we can eat before we go. No answer. 6:00 rolls around. Still haven't heard from him. The game starts at 7:00. He gets home at 6:25 and says let's go! He also informs me that his parents are now going and are coming over now. Um no. You never answered my call or text to tell me what was going on and now B hasn't eaten dinner. So, B and I stayed home and he went with his parents to the game. I am annoyed but B and I just had a lovely dinner of chicken nuggets and tator tots and we're going to watch the Curious George Halloween movie on Netflix and snuggle. Then after B goes to bed I will watch whatever crap tv I want and eat ice cream! The only thing I'm missing is wine. Only like 6 more months...

A local company is organizing a free car winterizing event and the ad says in bold print, 'for single women only'. While I do think that is a nice thing for them to do, I keep thinking it is so sexist! Oh, you don't have a man to help you? Come on down!
Then again I am not exactly sure in what winterizing a car entails so I am not the best candidate for that argument.

And DH is off to work. My friend is having a party tonight, but now I'm home on Buddy duty. I'm slightly disappointed and slightly relieved. I'm still exhausted from my medication cocktail, so crawling into bed early tonight isn't such a bad idea.

My SIL just found out she is having a boy! They've been trying for over a year and got pregnant on their third IUI. I'm so excited for them. She is 12 weeks and due around A's first birthday (she had the blood test instead of NT scan). It'll be the 4th grandchild, all boys!
No, not really! But I feel so much better with it cleaned up a bit. Now to hope my blowout lasts until tomorrow . My hair is sooo much thinner due to this post partum shed! It's crazy. I'm lucky I had a ton of hair to begin with.

It looks great! I just remember it being so long at V's birthday party. Ugh I know, I've lost so much hair.
Blech, I have another headache. I seem to be getting them a lot more often lately, and it's really starting to bug me.
Tonight I took the kids to a little Halloween event at the library. They promised trick or treating, crafts and a magic show. The magic show was pretty cute, but Caleb had no patience for an hour long show. The TOTing consisted of 5 people with buckets around one small room, and the crafts were several coloring pages and cut-out masks.
The kids had fun, but I learned a few things: 1. I stuffed Caleb's costume waaaay too full. If I ever hope to get it on him, it needs to be more malleable. Which leads me to: 2. I still have little hope of getting it on him. 3. Caleb is very much still in the instant gratification stage. When he got candy, he expected candy right then. Anyone have any ideas on how to delay the expectation that getting candy means eating candy right then?

I'm hiding out in the home office "working". MH got home a little early bc he has to be back in at 4, so he's putting A to bed. My only regret is that I didn't grab a beer. I might sneak out and get one without making too much noise.
