In an effort to try to find the balance between being the boss and building teamwork, I think I'm agreeing to dress up with the group for Halloween. I draw the line at trick or treating around the office building though. Our last supervisor did the dressing up (although he did Clark Kent so he could stay professional for important meetings and show the superman undershirt when more appropriate) and it went over pretty well. So they have decided on a Mario Bros theme. We have Mario, Luigi and Princess Daisy. Apparently I've been assigned Princess Peach. They recommended actual pink dress. I don't know about that, I do work at a plant. Although if I have to go in the fence that day, I could change into jeans or scrubs if needed. Any ideas on how I can play along, but still maintain a semi-professional appearance?
I believe a crown will be happening. I might hit up charming charlies for a necklace. My typical wardrobe is slacks, nice shirt or sweater and flats. Nothing says I can't wear a dress, unless I go inside the fence (where my boss's office is). Then I have to have my legs covered and flats.

Then I'd do a pink sweater with your work pants and the blue jewelry. And now I'm mad at you for making me go look at Charming Charlie's. I WANT ALL THE THINGS!

I always think I do, but then never really end up wearing things. Or if I do, they break the first time I wear them. I know i'm buying cheap stuff, but really, it should last a least a few times.
So they changed it up on my and I got Daisy. Thankfully I hadn't bought a dress yet. I still need a sweater of some sort to not be sleeveless. But I think I can do this. I did buy a goldenrod Tshirt as a backup.
