Aww thanks guys!
I missed a pr by 6 seconds, but it was still a fun race. My SIL orchestrated Harlem Globetrotter costumes. They were pretty sweet. I will see if I can post a pic later.

I did it. I never want to to it again. I was aiming for a sub 2, and my official time was 1:59.03. I'm happy that I did it, but I don't think that long distance runs are for me. I just didn't have fun.

Glad you had fun! Was it better organized than last year? That's why I didn't go this year.
Thats debatable! My SIL picked up the our race packets Friday night and they were out of the jackets, and the lines were awful.
We got to the race a little later than I wanted, so we were still in the porta potties when the gun went off. But that was our own problem. I heard the 5k was a little unorganized.
It was super crowded at the start, but at least I didn't hear of anything like last year where some people's chips didn't work so they didn't get a time.

But you did it! Great job.
I am with you though...I had fun at the beginning and end, but I was not loving life while I was running this time.

Great job finishing and hitting your goal. It's always funny to me what distances people enjoy. 5k? Nope. 10k? HATE IT! Half? Can't get enough.
Eta- I'm linking that you finished, not that you hated it.
