H and I visiting friends in Plymouth next weekend. Would it be worth it to go to the MOA mainly for HA? I haven't been there since before the girls were born, so are there any other really cool kids' stores?
I typically do most of my shopping at Southdale and The Shoppes at Arbor Lake (thank god that they have a Nordstrom Rack). It has been several years since I have been to MOA in the fall (we usually go in the summer and on a weekday) so I'm not excited about the prospect of huge crowds.
Any great consignment stores?
Also, not kid-related, but any great restaurants in the Plymouth area? I have mentioned to H that I would like to go to Hell's Kitchen for breakfast (we've been a few times) but I'm not sure if I will be able to convince him to venture downtown.
I think a quick trip into the MOA would be worth it. Also, Plymouth is super close to downtown MPLS so I would eat dinner there and not in Plymouth. So many wonderful restaurants to choose from downtown.
Ditto mellymel, just go to MPLS for dinner. Yes to brunch at Hell's Kitchen (one of my favorites), or you could to the Bachelor Farmer.
We typically end up running to MOA on weekends when we need to go. I think it would be worth it. We usually try to get in early and the crowds are not bad at all.

What are some of your favorites? I like Solera and Prohibition for drinks/apps and Zelo for lunch. H usually wants to go to the Rock Bottom Brewery for dinner, which is fine but is so similar to the chains available in our city.

I love Prohibition for the drinks and the view
I have heard great things about Bachelor Farmer but it wasn't open yet when we moved away
The Local is fun for lunch and has a fun pub atmosphere
Brit's - but only in the summer or a warm day when you can eat on the rooftop and do lawn bowling!
Bank is great for dinner
Hell's Kitchen is great for brunch
Gosh, I'll keep thinking - Mpls is such a great restaurant town. You almost can't go wrong downtown!
I'm not an MOA person so can't tell you on that one.
For restaurants, my current fav is Tilia in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Mpls. They don't take reservations so be prepared to wait if you do go there.
