I had mild cramps that felt like my period on and off on Friday night and again on Saturday afternoon. I think they were just BH or triggered by my cervical check on Friday. I googled "do contractions feel like menstrual cramps?" yesterday, because I was starting to wonder, but they stopped not long after that. My crotch has been super sore all weekend though, so maybe those cramps were doing something?
I waver between thinking "yay maybe it's labor!" and "omg what if it's labor, I'm not ready for this yet!"

Yup. I've been doing this since Thursday. It's so annoying and usually more at night. It seems to peak around 3-4am - stupid body.
Basically all of pregnancy is a mind fuck. First you have all of the symptom checking for ovulation. Then you go through the mind duck of the 2ww, imaginary pregnancy symptoms, and you're constantly checking toilet paper for signs if impending period, often accompanied by cramping. Then you get the bfp and the obsessive checking continues. Then you have morning sickness yada yada yada. Then you start freaking out about movement and are you feeling it enough. And by the end of your pregnancy you're back to the obsessive toilet paper checking and reading too much into cramping and imaginary labor starting symptoms.

Yep. You described it perfectly! This is where I'm at, except I have the added 'how are you feeling/are you in labor yet?' calls, emails and texts that are driving me batty too.

I'm due Tuesday and have had three texts and one email today. Heh. They all mean well, but it's frustrating. I'd love to be able to tell them something more than that I'm super uncomfortable.

This is how it started for me. And then they were timetable but still not painful. I went to the hospital when they were 5 minutes apart. They sent me home. The next day they were 1-2 minutes apart and very uncomfortable. They sent me home again. Lol. I went into real labor that night. Hang in there. It's annoying but you are so close!
I've been dealing with this for about a month now. Cervical check last week at 38w6d and I'm only 1cm. I don't remember having this same issue with DS but I sympathize with you, it sucks and is uncomfortable to say the least

I'm only 36 weeks but having cramping and lie back pain 2-3 times a week especially at night. Hoping these buggers are at least doing something to speed up the process when I go into real labor.
Also Dh is on his last business trip before the baby comes. It's Only a 48 hour trip but the man is terrified I'd going onto labor when he's not here. No she's gotta stay in there for a coupe more weeks at least. He's called every couple hours. I just preempted his last call by texting him...she's not here yet... go back to work.

yes, i'm in same boat as all of you. this afternoon my cramps/contractions have been anywhere from 5-13 minutes apart, fairly consistently. now this evening back to abt 10 min apart.
i'm still not sure if i've lost my plug. my mucous has been a little different a couple times over the last week, but at no point have i noticed a big plug or any pinkish bloody color. i'm wondering if i lost it overnight during one of my 5 nightly pees or if i haven't lost it yet. is it even possible to go into labor without losing the plug?
Today I feel nothing. NOTHING! I want contractions dammit!
We will just sit in that boat together. I was feeling a lot more Thursday/Friday. And then again Saturday night. Since then - not much of anything. A contraction very sporadically but that's it.

Cab, hate to say it, we have another F'ing heat wave headed this way soon... 85 in central LA on Weds... can't even imagine how hot it'll be out where you are. Fortunately, a slight cooling wave here by Fri/Sat. My due date is Friday (Halloween!)-- maybe the change in the weather will bring my baby!
