How long did it take you to really get a handle on your cycle?
I had posted a few weeks ago about possible implantation bleeding as I had started bleeding pretty early (CD 25) but then by the next day it was real flow. I started OPK testing on CD9 (although the last two months I've gotten my positive somewhere closer to CD 14) and got a faint (but not THAT faint) line.
I wasn't very consistent with testing last week (9 - 12) because I was traveling and didn't have much chance to pee in a cup. We did have intercourse on CD9 as I left on CD10, and I very well could have missed ovulation in this window due to inconsistent testing.
What I'm confused about is that I've been getting a faint line on my OPK's since CD9 and I'm now on CD16...and still getting a line. Is this normal? I know it's not considered positive until the lines match, but is the faint line odd?
I did google but am having a hard time finding anything.
I usually take OPKs for a few days, to find my O; it changed days after my MMC, so it's been more OPKs recently. Anyway, I always get a faint line, and you should (as far as I know); what you're watching for is the test line being darker than the control. Mine are pretty light, then get darker up to the positive line.
Are you opposed to temping? I know for my first, I wanted to not make myself crazy, so I just did OPKs, but I did temp for one month just to see when I ovulated that month, and after that my cycle lengths and OPKs showed O around the same time.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

i think the faint line is different for everyone. for me, i have no 2nd line, then a faint one, then a dark one when it's positive...then it gets fainter once i O.
