My mom just had her windows cleaned. She has a small carriage house so only 9 windows and she paid $45 for inside and out. I don't think the guy was insured or bonded, he does it for her neighbors too. She said he's cheap and does a good job if you can put up with all of his political rants about how they should deport all the atheists. I think for a professional service and 30 windows it's a good price.

I have 22+ windows and am having them cleaned inside and out this week. He will remove the windows clean the sills and the screens and button them up when done for $250. Might be a slight friends of the family discount but he's fully insured and comes highly recommended.
We always had our windows professionally cleaned at our old house. It was amazing - so clean. So wonderful. It was $400. (And that included gutter cleaning!)
Then we moved into our new house with a ton of windows, leaded glass, many storm windows, and various other window weirdness. The company we always use told me it would now be $1300 So...no more professional window cleaning for me.
I occasionally have my windows, doors & French doors cleaned inside & out. I believe there are around 55 total. It cost $350...no storm windows or screens involved. I think that price is reasonable.

Huh, I have some leaded glass too, but they didn't mention that bumping up the price. But I don't have as much as you do. Maybe you should get another quote or two? They agreed to do do the storms for an extra $3/storm. But they don't normally deal with them, so I suspect they may have underquoted.
I don't know but we have used this company for years (and they still do our gutters) so I trusted their estimate. The house is double the size of our old one, plus we didn't have storm windows before which I'm sure makes a bigger difference. But they did say the leaded glass and the fact that we gave a lot of original windows added on a bit.

Mine are all mostly original and those that aren't are exact reproductions, so same equipment/process. I know your house is much larger than mine though. What does that come out to in price/window for you? I guess they could be pretty close quotes once the # of windows is accounted for. Works out to ~$15/window for me. It's times like this that I'm reminded of how much I love having a small house. Buying flooring is another LOL.
We have 51 windows I think (based on my sitting on the couch and mentally adding. Not always the best method). So $26 a window?
I dont want want to wash all those windows myself! Lol
Me either, devonpow. That sounds awful. One last helpful piece of helpful info perhaps? Guy said this is their slow season, so you might find a better deal now? He said spring all the way through summer is high season for window cleaning. But year round cleaning here is possible; it might not even be possible/practical to be cleaning windows there now.
That's a thought. We need to set up our end of leaf falling gutter cleaning so maybe I will ask
I paid some guy late last summer to come to do my windows. Never again will I do my own. They're still clean, shiny and streak free 3 months later...lol. He got in, got out and took his junk with him.
Mine cost $100.00 but I also live in a very LCOL area compared to you and we have no super high windows that require more than a regular ladder.

Enabler.
The king of DIY-to-save-money (a/k/a my husband) enthusiastically approved of this venture at this price point when he got home. This is when forcing him to help me with the chore last year pays off. He hates real cleaning. If he thought he wouldn't have to be involved and could get away with just me doing it, I'm fairly certain it "wouldn't be worth it to hire out" LOL. I kid, I kid. I love his DIY mentality most of the time; I just really hate washing windows.
I love to clean actually and I don't do windows. I can never get them right and it turns into like a week long adventure. For real do it. Dude will come in with his squegee and special potion the rest of the world can't apparently find, make your windows squeaky clean and get on his way. It's awesome.

My hairdresser gave me a card for a guy who did her whole house for $100. I am seriously considering it. We have a big picture window, several big casement windows, AND ones in the back I would have to climb on a ladder to reach.

Do it. Your guy is not my guy obviously but you won't regret it. I mean he was done in 2 hours. It would've taken me days with 2 kids hanging on me. And whatever he used..they're still shiny. The Dude I used has a day job and does this for "fun" basically so he did it at like 4:30pm on a Friday which was weird but I didn't really care.
