It was crazy to me that some of them didn't marry these men until after they were already in prison. Or the ones who got married knowing the men were about to go to prison.
What is it like to see these relationships from the other side doriswe?
I'm fascinated because I love to observe human behavior and try to understand it.
Honestly, most of the guys are not faithful, which sounds funny since they're locked up. Often, guys have wives and multiple girlfriends on their visitor lists and they don't know about each other. They juggle lots of ladies because lots of ladies generally mean more attention and money coming in to their account. I've had women call me trying to figure out who is on the inmate's visiting list because they suspect there are others.
I'll be honest, the one whose husband committed murder when he was 15 worries me. His controlling comments, the fact that she figured it was okay to marry him because he couldn't get out and kill her, and the fact that he might get out now.

Right? I honestly believe a lot of women like these guys because they're "safe". You get some of the benefits of a relationship, without all the stuff like sex, living together, really getting to know each other, etc. It's like online dating for a lifetime. You get to paint yourself in one light and they'll never know the real you because you don't deal with the day to day mundane stuff.
