So since last Wednesday I've debated on if I had a UTI. I started an antibiotic on Saturday and submitted a lab test, which came back negative yesterday and I stopped antibiotic.
I still feel the same way I felt initially which is kind of a frequency and pressure thing causing discomfort. There never was burning or back pain or other UTI symptoms.
So I guess what I don't know is what I'm feeling typical in pregnancy, or is it something else. Should I ask to be seen?
Now I know that needing to pee a lot is a hallmark pregnancy symptom. This just seems worse this week. It feels like maybe I'm not voiding completely.
There have definitely been times where I feel like I need to pee 24x7. When I feel like I need to pee, I need to pee like right then and there and it's not even that much. This kind of comes and goes, I guess based on how the baby is positioned. As for pain/pressure, around 20 weeks that would happen if I was running. Then from 30 weeks on, it happens if I haven't gotten up to use the restoom in a while - I get pain/pressure when I first stand up.

I agree, it sounds normal. I convinced myself I had a UTI with my last pregnancy even though I had never had one ever before just because pregnancy does such weird stuff to your body and I fall into the hypochondriac spectrum Like you, I started an antibiotic until my doc said the test came back negative.
Sounds normal to me. Are you in any pain? Is that why you think it's a UTI instead of normal pregnancy symptoms?
the pressure does really hurt sometimes. I kind of feel like I've been pregnant for 18 weeks but now all of a sudden it feels like I always have to go, I always have that sensation, I never feel empty, I always feel pressure, I can't make a typical car ride with out stopping
I guess I'm confused. Why did you start antibiotics before confirming you had a uti? Did your dr see you initially? I feel like this is a normal pregnancy symptom. I have felt like I have to pee all the time and then not much comes out. My urine has always been normal at my appointments. Baby is resting on my bladder!

I think I had the same issue around 18 weeks. I called my doctor thinking it was a UTI, but it turned out I didn't have one and they told me it was normal. It was a weird feeling, though, and definitely freaked me out. Oddly, the only time I have had a positive UTI test during this pregnancy, I had no obvious symptoms. This is such a strange time

Around 20 weeks I thought I might have one, but I didn't. I still sometimes get a feeling of pressure or needing to go. I think it's just baby's position.
