Chili was not combined until the end when we were trying to store all of it. She has a fuckton of chili, hot dogs, and hot dog buns leftover, easily over a hundred hot dogs because WHAT DID I SAY?
She still drove me crazy though because she had the kitchen people cover up the cupcakes and shit for the cakewalk instead of just letting people get dessert as they liked. So when it came time to do the cakewalk, there were entirely too many desserts.
Her husband annoyed me because as per usual, he asked me where/how I wanted something and then shot down my first few suggestions before making one his own, which uhm dude, if you wanted it done that way then you should have just said so. I don't care. I mean seriously, I don't.
But everything else went pretty well and I'm grateful it's over.

Does this woman not know anything? Why are they storing the chili? Send that shit home with whom it came. That's the other beauty of the crock-pot buffet. You want your pot back, you take that chili with you.
Always listen to people who have done it before regarding how much food to make. 100 left over hot dogs? cook those things mostly to order with a buffer of like 10 dogs.
I know the chili wasn't combined until the end, but what exactly is she going to use funky, mystery meat chili surprise for in the future now? I mean if no one would want to eat it when it was relatively fresh and (hypothetically) combined why would anyone want to eat old chili that has been combined.

I don't understand storing the leftover chili. I've been in charge of too many church potluck dinners and the rule is take it home with you or it's going to be thrown out and we'll keep your nice bowl.

After my granma passed away a TON of her cake pans made it back to us from the two churches she frequented.

Glad she did not combine the chili right away. I am also confused on why the church is storing it. Why didn't leftovers just go home with the people who made it? Now what is going to be done with it?
Now I'm wondering if a chili dog dinner is in pastor family's future plans? Maybe dinner for the next 6 weeks for them? Hmmm. Glad to hear you survived, though; well done!
The leftover baked goods will be eaten by the preschool and preschool parents today for Halloween parties.
The leftover chili will be frozen and served for Wednesday night dinner. Do not ask me why lol. But honestly, no one wanted to take home their chili which is so weird if you ask me but hey.
