DD's costume is ready to go! She's a tiny octopus.
We'll take her to the grandparents and a couple of relatives to say hi, then probably come home to hand out candy. We're a little out of "town" limits now, so we don't get nearly as many ToT here as we did at our old house. Sad, because I love handing out candy and seeing all the costumes.
We will be passing on Trunk or Treat. I posted on MMM earlier that there was a throwdown on a local FB page today about Trunk or Treat vs. Trick or Treat and I want nothing to do with waiting in line to get candy from people's cars. The argument ended with an old lady saying "WELL FINE, I have 20 bags of candy I can donate to the food pantry if the fat children who are too lazy to walk don't come to my house."

I'll get Ella a little early from daycare to get her dressed. We are going to a party for dinner. I'm bringing something like this
and making pumpkin hummus for dip. After dinner we'll all go trick or treating in friends' neighborhood. We usually bring little mini-bottles of wine. I might go cheap and fill a water bottle with whatever I have. Then we'll hit up a few houses around my parents' (just around the corner from friends') because the neighbors have requested seeing Ella in costume.
We basically live in an alley and get no trick or treaters. Our town does a big thing on Main st so no guilt about leaving town.
We're going over to my mom's for ToT. Obvs, E won't be going but we're going to dress him up and hand out candy. He's going to be a duckling and it's the cutest costume I've ever seen. I am SO excited.
My folks are coming over to our house for supper, then they'll pass out candy for us while we take the boys ToTing. I typically like to stay up and drink wine and watch a movie after the boys go to bed, but I have a race to run in early Saturday morning, so I should probably skip that. Humph.
I really enjoy Halloween. We finished carving pumpkins tonight, and H finished all of the outdoor decorations yesterday. YAY!!
I'm either having a kid or going trick or treating with my kid. Time will tell.
I'm placing bets on having a kid.
I want to like this 10 or so more times. Yay baby!
At this point I kind of want him to wait until the weekend so I can go ToTing with L. But because that's what I want, he will probably come screaming into the world exactly during ToT time.
I will be sitting on my couch watching TV and snuggling with my dog while hiding from TOTers lol.
It never fails. H always ends up working Halloween night. I do not pass out candy because my dog would go absolutely ape shit if I tried opening the door to give people candy, and even though I feel fairly comfortable doing so, I still don't like opening the door to strangers at night when I'm home alone. I turn off all my outside lights and pull the curtains, but I inevitably still get a couple people ring the doorbell.

ToT is tonight where I live. The timing is nice, because tonight will be dry and tomorrow is looking like a rain/flurry mix.
DS is almost 2 and at a bad age for this - too old to just do what I want, too little to know what is going on and be excited. I am glad I spent less than $5 on a witch hat and cape. He is refusing the hat for now, so we'll see tonight.
I'm excited to get into whatever leftover bags of chips we will have. Doritos time!
We get zero ToTers (we live in an apartment complex that’s nestled in a housing development so the apartment kids just go to the houses), so it’ll be a normal Friday night for me: workout, watch Grey’s, go to bed early.
I am so excited for Halloween this year. In general, it's a lot of fun in our neighborhood. We have a neighborhood gathering in our court of pizza and juice and many of the parents bring their own beverages. Then we all start to head out and hit the neighborhood for ToTing.
Our neighborhood is really great about getting in the spirit and a couple houses have cemetaries in their front lawn, a few people sit out front w/ a fire pit while waiting for the kids. It's really awesome.
This year, since it's on a Friday, one neighbor decided to have a party afterwards. So starting at 7:30, many of us are going to their house for chili, fire pit and fun. I'm keeping DS up as late as I can and we have NOTHING planned Saturday so that we can all be lazy lumps.
We go to my SIL every year so David can trick or treat with his cousins and not have to do it alone in our neighborhood. It's a good tradition and when David looks back on Halloween he'll remember it with his cousins (who I'm really trying to ensure he has a close relationship with since he's an only child). That's our standard Halloween every year. And it looks like the weather is going to be perfect this year.

I’m not doing shit and I can’t wait! H is working, DS1 is with XH for the weekend, and we live in the country so we get zero ToTers. I think my MIL was a little put off that I’m not dressing DS2 up and bringing him by, but FFS he’s only 13 months old. They saw both boys all dressed up with we went ToTing at a campground a few weeks ago, so I don’t really see the point. Besides, I don’t get out of work until 5:00 and J is in bed by 7:30 (usually closer to 7:00) so I’m not going to work around the logistical nightmare so she can see him in his costume for 5 minutes. My parents aren’t going to see him either, so it’s not like I’m playing favorites.
We took the boys to a trunk or treat last night since DS1 will be gone on Halloween.
We actually took the kids TOTing last Friday. We go every year to the next town over. They do a big block party and shut down Main st. All the stores open up and give out candy. There are horse drawn carriage rides and a costume parade. It's fun! Tomorrow our town is doing Truck or Treat at the Police & Fire station. They bring out the Fire trucks and squad cars and give out candy.
We are NOT giving out candy. No one ever comes to our house. We're on a dead end on the back side of the lake. The one year I tried we got like one kid.
We have SS this year for Halloween. He is in fifth grade and this might be the last actual trick or treating he might do. I'm thinking in middle school they start going to parties right? Anyway, we are going with some neighbors to trick or treat in the hood. It should be fun!
We're having my mom and mil over for dinner Friday, then taking the kids trick or treating. I'm also going to try a recipe for almond joy martinis and I'm really excited!
It's our first Halloween in our new house, and I have no idea what to expect in terms of TOTers so I'm heading to Target after work to stock up. I am dressing in two separate costumes, one for work and one for home. I think we will order pizza to eat while handing out candy. I can't find my outdoor decorations so I just have some window clings on the front door. DD is going trick or treating with her friends. I think they are too old, but it's only our neighbors so I don't think it harms anything for them to go. They are dressing up as Apocalyptic Triplets.
We're having some friends over and having a street party with the neighbors. We're considering illegally blocking our street off with some cones so we can set tables out in the street with food and booze. My one neighbor is all about the drinking game where you take a shot every time Elsa trick or treats at your house. I offered to stay sober so I could drive them all to the hospital by 6:30. Lol.
