H had a mole appear on the top of his head that hurts. After almost a moth, we ran I to someone that just had skin cancer cur off his nose. He saw the mole and told h to get seen. A call to the VA dermatology office monday led him to walk in to his primary office yesterday. They took a picture to send the derm and said we'd hear back in a week but it didn't look good. Well, h got a call today that they call back tomorrow with an appt. Google is showing me identical pics of nodular melanoma and saying it's the deadliest and most aggressive form. I'm kind of freaking, but he hasn't even seen the derm yet. Good thoughts please?

I have always gotten calls back about appointments WAY earlier than they say I will. I think they just give themselves a huge window so they don't have people hounding them. I've also had nasty looking moles that turn out to be nothing.

Moles are always so weird. I try to follow the rules about what looks suspicious and what is unconcerning. I always get it wrong. The ones I am concerned about are always nothing. But it is good that your husband is having it checked out. I finally started getting my pale, sunscreen avoiding husband to go to the dermatologist and then we moved.

That is scary. I keep putting off having a couple moles looked at...and I really should have them looked at. :/ I hope you get a call that the mole is benign! Keep us posted!
