Ok, here's a doozy: I don't like that my crisper lets me control the humidity. Am I really supposed to evaluate exactly what produce is in there, research its optimal storage humidity, and adjust? WTH?? Come on, fridge. Do the heavy lifting for me. That's your job.

I can't tell which sister my kids prefer. We lost our Frozen DVD a very long time ago and I just never replaced it. They still think they love it and we still sing the songs. But they don't seem super obsessed with the actual movie. Jsut the movie stuff. My lil consumers!
Actually, now that I think about it, we don't watch any princess movies. I wonder why.

I would love a reception only invitation! Unless it's super quick, I'm usually off in my own happy little head space during the ceremony, especially if it's very long (I'm looking at you, Greek Orthodox and Catholics). The reception is the fun part!
Add Russian Orthodox to the list.
And Nigerian. I went to a wedding ceremony that was 4 hours long once, and back in the day receptions went all night.

I am Greek Orthodox. My wedding was definitely not 2 hours long. Its longer then usual, but not anywhere close to two hours. I think it was like 45 minutes.
In the UK it is fairly common to have 2 sets of invites - 1. Ceremony , Sit down reception and Evening Party and 2. Ceremony and Evening Party.
The big people (family and good friends) get invited to the whole day and people like second cousins and work colleagues get invited to the ceremony and the evening party. A lot of people would just go to the evening party bit and skip the ceremony in that case. Also, you would be expected to give a lot cheaper gift if you only got an evening invite!! There would usually be buffet food for the evening.
I remember hearing about this during the royal wedding a few years ago. That sounds like a perfect compromise.
Elsa is a bitch and I don't get why everyone loves her.
I agree. I pump up Anna to Ada and she likes her better now.
I'd be sad if kids mainly liked Elsa because of her hair color.
Sadly I definitely think her being blonde is 80% of the reason she's the favorite. I also think the fact that she wears make-up is the other 20%. Our societies views on women are fucked up.

BUT BLONDES ARE THE BEST1111!!1!
I think natural blonde looks good! It's the 100 million people trying to be blonde that aren't actually blonde that I personally think would look better with darker hair.
It's also the general "blonde is better" thing that has been in for a long time that bothers me. All hair colors should be treated equal!
Halloween related: I don't like fancy etched and/or pattern carved pumpkins. Give me a free hand Jack o'lantern any day over an intricate design. *Bonus points for crooked eyes and a tooth that is wobbly due to accidental over-cutting.

I don't think it's really about her being blond, I think it's that she's bright and shiny and sparkly. They purposely contrast her to the darker more subdued Anna. Of course most kids are more attracted the exciting, magic wielding, sparkly sister.

I'm offended on behalf of blonde people everywhere. Not sure why but I feel the need to be. So there.
I would also have a problem if there was a brunette is better view!
We joined the Frozen craze much later than every one else (DH DVR'd it on July 12th) and I was pretty underwhelmed.
The whole story just has so many flaws and I just can't deal with that! I don't like how Hans seemed like he was legit into Anna and then they just decided half way through to change him to a villain. It just screams poor writing/planning. Like how they show him smile sheepishly after she left when he was in the water before the coronation? She wasn't looking so if he was doing that, it was legit. My DH tells me not to read so much into the movie but I can't stop!
And, seriously, did Elsa and Anna not talk for 3 years?
I could go on and on but don't have much time before work.
How do you make chicken salad if you don't use canned chicken? Actually pull apart a piece of chicken? Who has time for that?
I have the BEST recipe for chicken salad. Chicken breasts are brined (30 min), then poached (15 min), then shredded. So, yeah, it takes some time, but it is soooooooo delicious.

Tina Fey also has thoughts on blonde hair. She calls it yellow. Because why does blonde get a name that's not a color.
Read the book guys and then let's talk about how great it is.
Are you talking about Bossypants? I read that a few years ago when it came out and loved it. I'll have to read it again once I finally get around to finishing Gone Girl. Although, I have the Mindy Kaling book that I haven't even opened yet so I still need to get to that too.
Yes, Bossypants! So good. I have Mindy Kaling's book on reserve at the library, but I really am into audiobooks lately and I love her voice so I might switch to that.
