I like reading the baby talk, but have nothing to add to that I'm looking forward to some upcoming BFP's. Please be posting that here, and not just on GP or dear lord, the Bump.
I went back over to The Bump for a hot second when I was pregnant with DS last year. I was all, "who are these people who've taken over the forum with their crazy?"
GBCN'ers owned that place before most of them were even Knotties. Way to spoil it newbs, lol.
one more random. I am at the end of this pair of shoes for marathon training - and plan to order another pair. It just so happened that the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 15 LADY LIBERTY shoes went on sale this morning and i wear the GTS 15s. I checked 45 minutes ago, not for sale. Just checked again - for sale and SOLD OUT of my size plus an array of others
Oooh they have them in my size. Now I'm wondering if I should get them.
Also - ya'll have listened to me ramble a couple of times - do you usually do intros? anything in particular you want to know since I intend to keep jumping in over here?
Our town is having Halloween tonight from 6-8. This is so strange. They announced it in the town newsletter, but what if people didn't read the newsletter? I sure don't.
Wtf? Is Friday the new Lord's Day or something? They tried to change Halloween down here a few years ago when it was on Sunday, because of that reason.
the area where I grew up a lot of towns move trick or treating around so it falls on a Thursday. Or a Saturday. The main paper in the area announces all the "official" trick or treating times and days a few weeks in advance. I didn't realize that was weird until I left.

lol, I'm scared of GP. I've lurked there, but it doesn't feel all that welcoming. I get why they have some of these (I'm sure it's annoying to answer stupid questions), but in the sticky post it's all DO NOT POST IF YOU'RE WONDERING THIS, and GO READ OTHER SITE'S FAQ'S BEFORE YOU EVEN THINK OF ASKING HERE, and LURK FIRST THEN WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE READY TO POST, INTRODUCE YOURSELF. I thought about doing an intro post, but I ended up just...
</div>I was SO EXCITED to see your post on MMM this week. I have also decided that I am way overinvested in the future H&F babies

I'm from western PA, and all of the towns in that area hold ToT the Sunday afternoon before Halloween. Which means they had it this past Sunday. I find that completely strange.

you definitely should. The brooks rep online told me i can go to a store in Manhattan and buy them. I LIVE IN NC
Anyone NYC ladies feel like picking me up a pair of the most patriotic running shoes??!! I'll be happy to paypal the $$ and shipping.
My random. (It's more of a WTF) We are about 1/1000th of a second into this "Lets have a baby" business and DH is already freaking me out. I know he's just SO excited, but I need him to chill.
We were sitting on the couch and he was looking at the iPad. He turns to be and says, "If we have a baby, what kind of car would you want?" (huh) Ummm, MY car?? (4-door Civic, super excited we paid it off 2 yrs early). Then he's all, "After my accident (someone hit him a few years ago, head-on in our Tundra. Truck held up fantastically!)), I just don't know that it's safe. Plus, a stroller in and out of your trunk might be difficult."
What.The.Fuck?! 1) It's been safe enough for ME to be driving for a few years now. What are you saying H?! 2) It's a Honda, not some cracker jax car. 3) We aren't even TRYING yet. 4) I had JUST expressed the fact that the cost of childcare gives me hives. Maybe you shouldn't follow that up with suggesting that we replace my PAID FOR car w/a $400+ car payment!
L O L. Oh dear.
DH likes it when I drive the truck bc it's safer, but it's a gas hog so I don't drive it all that often. The stroller in & out of the trunk is the last of my problems w/ driving a car. Getting an infant in & out of the convertible seat is a bigger problem, it's so annoying. I'm constantly banging her head on the door frame, poor kid. I know plenty of people get by w/o trucks, but, we are truck people.
AAM2012 - those look terrifying! OMG. Are you in a rural area? I'm legit terrified looking at those pics, and I've seen coyotes on my trail.
Wines Not Whines - I think you get wine AND whines this week. Personally, I'd take a few days to have wine and sugar and the mopes, and then channel your inner Queen Elsa and Let it Go!

I lurk and post a little on MMM, but y'all are stuck with my crazy.
GP here, or on TB? I post on the board here, and I hope we're welcoming! It's a fairly slow board. Definitely don't go to the one on TB; it's a scary place.

Me too! Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow...when there's no way I can WFH. Luckily, MH said he'd take one for the team. When does yours arrive?

I think my iPhone 4s is on self destruct mode. It now is running like crap. I have no memoery and no matter how many apps I delete or how many times I delete all my pictures and videos it still says I have no memory. Nothing has changed from a week or two ago to now. The amount of amount of storage my music takes isn't much and has never been an issue. Now most of the apps crash, including my fitness ones which piss me off. I swear Apple has me on their radar and knows I wasn't planning on upgrading anytime soon and is now forcing me to consider it.
Mine, too. I am ready to throw it into a wall. I am supposed to be getting a new phone next week, thank God.

After I shut him down with a "Get out of here w/that nonsense", he got off of the iPad. (I felt a bit guilty. I think he was expecting me to be all "FUN! NEW CAR!") Anyway, he left the page open, and I saw that he was looking at an Acura MDX. I have to admit, part of me was all, "Oooh! Pretty!", but, car payments. We have to at least get to the peeing on sticks phase of this plan, before we start having those talks, tyvm.

I've had a muscle spasm in my neck for the past couple of weeks and last night it got really bad. DH had to lift me out of bed and whisk me to the dr, who gave me shots of cortisone and pain killer. Right now I feel equally like taking a nap and lifting a car. I'm trying not to send out work emails for fear that I might start talking about the pretty purple butterflies. Thank God DH drove me to the office.
I'm all swollen and bloaty from carbo loading and marathoning. I'm also going to Mexico next week. You think this would be motivation to eat super clean and drop some bloat but I've had wine and Halloween candy everyday this week. I just don't care.
Me too! Mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow...when there's no way I can WFH. Luckily, MH said he'd take one for the team. When does yours arrive?

It hasn't even shipped yet
So sorry! Mine ended up shipping before its (postponed) expected date, so I'll hope the same for yours.

Oh gosh, no TB. I meant GP here. I think maybe scm1011's description as being intense is a good way to say it.
I would much rather (and do) spend $$ on workout clothes and shoes than the business casual clothes/shoes I need so badly for work. I really don't mind showing up to the office each day in the same old things, but show me a new Athleta or Title Nine catalog and watch me drool. I really wish I could show up to work in my pretty new running shoes and my running capris.

All boards are GBCN! Not a safe place! But, um, yeah. I can see what you mean.

I have a civic. I get the bob out of my trunk just fine! It is a PITA getting the car seat out of the middle of the car in such a low car. With the cost of daycare we will be running the car into the ground before we go about having another car payment
My random? My in laws said that they may be coming for Christmas. This was after they said they weren't coming up for any holiday this year so when talk of kiawah came up, we decided to go down early and that would be our Christmas with them. So now we drive down and a week later you come up?? No thank you. That is TOO much together time. I am now flying to kiawah by myself. (We also had dog care issues come up which made coming by myself a better option as well)

I always start off looking for work clothes and end up getting work out clothes. If it wasn't for work buying us a couple company shirts a year my work wardrobe would be sad.

I post over there too. It has gotten relatively slow lately....not sure why. Just make sure you do an intro and scroll through some old pages. For the most part we don't bite....as long as you don't intro with a BFP ?. Then we grumble ALOT!!
