Last night we carved pumpkins. I kept calling the innards the "pumpkin guts." L corrected me, with an eyeroll, "Mommy, those are not GUTS, that is pumpkin PULP. My teachers told me." Then she went to her backpack and got the worksheet they did on pumpkins with the pulp explanation and handed it to me to read. Presumably so I can educate myself.
She then told me that the bat I carved was the "best bat ever in ever."

DS#2 kept asking to be picked up on Monday morning. Then he said "I want to go all the way uppy", when I asked why he said "Because I love you so hard.".
I can't wait until b can talk more. She has picked up two new words this week, but they sound almost exactly the same. She now says "bah" (ball) and "buh" (butterfly).
Lately everything is (in a very dramatic voice) "OH MY GOSH! Are you serious? Are you serious right now? OH MY GOSH!"
Also, he's learning about flattery. It's hilarious. Every time I say yes to something he wants I get "Mommy, you are the best mommy in the world. I love you more than anything. I love you more than Ninjago. I love you more than outer space. I love you more than infinity."
See, all of the people who read posts here and are all " now I'm NEVER having kids" need to come read this shit.

DD is just getting to the point where she can verbally answer some questions. This happened the other day: DH: "what does Daddy say?" DD: "I love you!" DH: "Yes! What does Mommy say?" DD: "no no no!"
The I love you response was taught but no no no was never taught as a response to that question lol.
Also, when carving pumpkins, she kept exclaiming "oh no!" as we stabbed/carved our pumpkins. She was happy when I showed her the Elmo face I carved though.
Oh, I forgot the cutest thing of all. David asked me to babysit his baby last weekend so him and his wife could have a date night. When he came to "pick up" the baby after the date night he asked if she was good. I said "she was VERY good." He said "but how was her behavior?" He was so serious, it was sooo adorable.
And I got pictures of him feeding the baby and cradling the baby and kissing the baby. It was soo adorable. He says it's her birthday this weekend so I guess we have to buy her a cupcake and sing Happy Birthday? lol

It was V's birthday on Tuesday and I had balloons waiting for her when she woke up. She was just so excited over 4 red latex balloons, and it was so sweet. Thank you mommy love you so much mommy best birthday mommy
Lol but I took grocery store cupcakes to preschool for V's birthday and at pick up one little guy ran up and hugged my legs and said I was the best cupcake maker evah. Well, thank you, little dude!
She is obsessed with this baby already. She always talks about how we have to go get the baby, the baby's name will be boy, and she's like "baby will be here when it snows, but after christmas. And it will be the baby's birthday so we'll eat cake with candles. I'll buy the baby some clothes for a present". And she goes on and on. " I'll have two brothers. One big and one small!"
Maybe I'm vain, but I do like when I come downstairs after getting ready for work and DS will say "Mom, you look so pretty!" He is so earnest when he says it, so it feels like a real, honest compliment. Ha.
Yesterday was his daycare Halloween party. Even though he was one of like 16 Batmans, he was so excited about his costume (H made it!). But on the car ride home, he was like - "Next time I want to be a princess like Lily. Her dress was so pretty!"
L has started changing the pitch of her voice depending on what she's doing. So she'll be playing and go "Dada?" (high-pitch) "Da-dy" (low-pitch), and she fake laughs in a really high-pitched voice lately, too. Also, her first official word was "whoa", which is pretty much the cutest thing ever.
She has also started holding things up to her ear and going "lo", and she has been trying to put socks on lately. I love this age.
ETA: OH, and she has also started giving us "monkey hugs", wherein she grips our arms and wraps her legs around us and lays her head on our shoulders. My non-snuggler! I die.
I have DS home with me because of a bad diaper rash. He's running around with a diaper off and his butt is so cute.
I was looking for a movie on Amazon and he saw Frozen and yelled ELSA! I asked if he wanted to watch and he said yes. We own it so i put thst copy in. When we got to the part where she's running away from the castle he yelled "No Elsa, come back!"
Addy will bury her head into our shoulders and reach around to hug us as far as she can and makes a purring/moaning sound like she is content. She also will repeat the letters to her name when we spell it out "a" "d" "y" (will not repeat the second d) and clap for herself like she is the smartest ever. When we count, she will only do 1 and hold up one finger, the other numbers she has to move my fingers after each number up to five.
Sophia got naked for the bath and started wiggling her bum. We told her to stop and she yelled "I can't stop! My bum wants to dance!!! It won't listen to me!"

Morgan does this too - complete with finger wag (which I never do) LOL

I can't wait for my kids to talk so they say cute stuff. Right now it's just a lot of mamamama and dadadadada.
DS1 is standing really well though, and when he's right by me I give him a funny/smiley look of "what are you doin buddy?" and he cracks up and has to sit down.
It's not as cute when I type it out, but I swear it's really cute in person.
G hates our automatic grinder coffee maker. I goes off at 5:40. She came into my room right after this morning and said "Mommy, there's something funny in my ear that made a loud noise. It hears (hurts) my ears."
Another time I sent Payne in to turn it on. It commenced loud grinding and I heard. G: OH NO! YOU PUSHED THE WRONG BUTTON
P: ITS SUPPOSED TO DO THAAAAT! ^ please read this in the tone of a helicopter pilot yelling instructions to be heard through head phones.
This was yesterday: R: Mama, I have a question. Me: Ok. R: I love you? Me: I love you too. R: Ok, that was my question.
And last week we were Skyping with my parents and sister and he told them he wanted to sing. So he started singing parts of "All about that bass." He sang "All the right junk in all the right places" and we all lost it.

I was feeling under the weather last Monday. I came home from work and went to bed. DH picked up DD from school and I woke up when they got home. She looked at me very confused and said
DD: Mommy are you just getting up?
me: yes honey mom doesn't feel good
DD: Mommy you are very late for work!
this was at 2:30 in the afternoon. I have to be at work by 9:00. Never mind the fact that I was up in the A.M. getting her ready for school.
I had one of those moments yesterday where my heart was filled with so much love just watching Leo. It isn't even anything that translates to a story. He was just being so cut and I sat back and watched.
