R: I created this thread just to say I wish I could put Pharrell in my pocket and take him everywhere with me. He is so adorable I just can't with that.
More random: we have those auto feeders for the cats with the container for the food and it comes down when the tray is empty. Anyway, our kitten just got stuck in the (mostly empty, oops) container trying to get to the food in there. I laughed until I was crying.
M got a tattoo at his MDO party yesterday but it's been under long sleeves since them. I undressed him to eat a messy lunch and he is OBSESSED with it. He keeps grabbing at his arm trying to get it.
R: I have decided I am going to make loaded nachos for lunch tonight. Yumm...
AW: DS is doing great with his sling. He has only really whined about it a couple of times. Once was when he wanted two cookies but he only had one hand.
V: DS2 broken arm. WAH. He screamed for 3 hours this morning because he was tired and it hurt. He is good with the sling as mentioned above but it moves all around so I'm constantly having to readjust it to get it at a 90 degree angle. We can't get in to see an orthopedic doc until Tuesday, and even then it's only the PA because the doc was booked up. My wallet is crying.

V: my Red Band Society and SVU did not record last night because my H went and took my last two recordings (we get 5 at one time) to record two stupid, stupid, STUPID alien shows. He clearly wants me to hurt him.

I'm going to attempt pumpkin carving with two kids. Sounds like a bad idea but DH is in a mood and hasn't been feeling well so it's up to me. Would it be awful if I just had them paint the pumpkins? They seem open to it and no knives sounds like a better idea.

What?? UrgentCare told us she had to be seen by an ortho within 48 hours. I went crazy looking for a doc and our pedi nurse actually called around and got us in somewhere an hour away on a Saturday afternoon. They did more x-rays and everything. I'm really sorry about the insurance thing! That is way shitty. Murphy's law, right?

I don't know how old they are to know if they'd even care about it being carved. Go ahead and paint them!

I've let DD paint pumpkins in the past. It was more fun for her than watching me carve a pumpkin.
One of my friends painted their pumpkins with chalkboard paint, then let her kids draw on them. I think that's a fun idea too.

I totally want to do this! Glow in the dark chalk is a thing, right?

I wanna shrink Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Bell and carry them around. I love them both!

cna - I don't think they were on last night. World Series on Fox, and for us it was a basketball game on NBC. Not sure if it was preempted anywhere else, but Chicago PD was a repeat. Hopefully that gets your DH out of a little trouble.
R: I ordered new jeans and they came in the mail today. They make my butt look gooooood.
AW: When I tell DS that it's bedtime (or nap time) he gets all excited, and runs around gathering essentials: a dolly for snuggling, his beloved owl lovie, and a book. Then he runs into my room and climbs up on the bed, scoots his cute little butt up the bed, and lays down on the pillows, still hanging on to all his bedtime goodies. And then he just lays there and waits for me. I love it!
V: My kids seriously need to drop the cranky attitudes. I know they are probably fighting some bug off and are tired, but holy cow. One more mega meltdown over some mysterious issue and I may lose my mind.

Just because I know everyone was on the edge of their seats about this, I will update. I carved those pumpkins like a boss and prepped the seeds for roasting. And no knife injuries! My three year old decided they MUST be carved.

I don't know about Red Band Society, but the show that comes on before SVU recorded, and at the end it said "next on Law & Order SVU...so I assume it aired for us last night?

Whoa. Both kids napped at the same time. I dozed off on the couch and dreamed you all came over to my house.
You all started talking about Disney. Amynumbers was getting in some heated debate with Kimbus. Someone retreated to the guest room as "they were tired of talking about Disney". Then my mom showed up out of nowhere and started criticising my set-up.

SVU came on but it was a repeat. It was the one from a few weeks ago with the basketball player accused of rape. I checked because our DVR wasn't recording it.

His pedi acted like it was NBD if we had to wait a week to be seen. I an anxious to meet with the doc though.
Yes the insurance sucks! Like couldn't he wait16 days??
