lol. Thanks…what do you think about the ridiculously long hair he has going on? He gets mostly negative comments about it (a lot of: so how long are you going to grow it? and: are you ever planning on getting a hair cut?).
But he is very photogenic, bugger. Hope our kids end up with those genes.
DS2 just excitedly listed off all the boys' Halloween costumes from his costume parade at school today--Captain Hook, an astronaut, ninja turtles, a jawa, General Grevious, a basketball player, Batman, etc. I asked him what the girls were dressed as. He responded, "oh they were mostly Elsas. But there were two Annas and one donut." For some reason the image of the one donut girl among the sea of Elsas and Annas is cracking me up.
I'm pissed at DH for being the work martyr. He and 2 other people (his boss & the other designer/Sr. associate) in his fairly large (50+) were just told they'll loose their excessive PTO if they don't use it by Jan 1. My H, who has 4 kids (more than any other person) & had a baby fairly recently has taken less time off than people with no recent big life events or family obligations. He literally takes virtually no time off except for vacation (1-2wks a year) but gets 5wks+. Then he asked for some time mid-Dec & of course boss says he needs to work because they have an interview. God forbid he take some time & just hang out or do some projects around the house or hell even help prep for Christmas.
Speaking of which I went off this weekend about how he only will participate in stuff when he gets something out of it for himself. I was not nice & probably too free with my tongue...but he's been much better since. I hate that I have to speak up & say stuff like that but at least it helps even if it's just temporarily.
DD4 is only 19mo & in full on terrible 2s mode. She's having plenty of tantrums & now screams bloody murder if I put her in the carseat. At least I know it's a phase so I mostly find it funny. But she is still waking at 4-5am and that's annoying.
I have a vent. WHY does anyone IRL think its helpful to ask me if I'm going to wean DS soon due to all the thrush issues? I am experiencing the suck of the suckiest right now, show your support in other ways, even if your intentions are just to say "hey, it's okay to stop nursing."
Im so happy I have an awesome DH (who went to work super late today because all the gentian violet-stained clothes had to be bleached and washed) and the support of so many ladies here.
I haven't gained a pound in my 1st tri!!!!! People, this is huge. Last time around I had gained 14lbs by week 15, lol. I might be up like half a pound, maybe 3/4? YESSSSSS!
I have a confession. I bought Taylor Swift's new album on Monday (the day it came out) on iTunes and I am LOVING it.
I haven't bought the album..yet. I did buy shake it off though. I sing shake it off obnoxiously loud to DD when she's crying in the car. I mean, it's a full on dance party in my car.
I just walked around the neighborhood with a friend & MH while drinking wine out of a plastic cup.
I plan to fill my Tervis tumbler before ToTing tomorrow.
We do this every year....actually a few years we've (my group) has pulled a keg in a wagon or a mini in a stroller. We do drinks when Christmas Caroling too...one year we Caroled the mayors house (he lived in our old hood & now he's Governor & lives in my new hood in the Gov mansion) & he joined us too. It definitely adds to the festive spirit!

I always have dance parties blasting this with C. Yesterday he was crying in the car and it came on the radio and he magically stopped. H was like how often do you play that? Lol
Every time there's a PIP thread I hold my breath hoping I don't see my XH pop up. The spreadsheet post is proving what a small world it is, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.
Though... I doubt he'd show up in the hot husbands thread. Lol (buuuurn).
NY COnfession- I want to skip tot, have dh take her, send dd2 to my mil as planned and enjoy the house to myself and catch up on grad school work. It is sooooo tempting.

ToT is over. It was only 15 minutes but it felt longer!
I am so glad I got DS a cape, witch hat and a bat shirt instead of a real costume. He wouldn't wear the hat and putting those couple of things on was a pita.
I just spent six glorious days with my high school friends in Turks and Caicos for our 40th birthdays. Then I came home to a 6K plumbing problem that may or may not be covered with our homeowners AND we depleted our emergency savings this summer to fix a drainage problem. So things are a tad stressful and seeing a toilet backflow was not a happy memory
