I used to browse the classifieds when I was a kid, pre-internet. Yes, I was a weird kid. I loved the newspaper, it's no wonder I majored in journalism. One of the most common misspellings was Nissan Ultima, or similar. Really? You've likely owned and registered your car for years and you don't know how the spell the name of the model?

LOL, I read the paper every day after school.
I remember when the paper used to publish personal ads. Long before match.com, that fascinated me. Apparently I was weird too.
Today I see some oldies...dinning table and shabby sheik. Surprisingly not much else. I guess people here are better spellers than the people were in CA. I found better buys and much more interesting stuff in CA than I do here.
I'd had to get all the way to page three to even come across this-
Dinning set - $500
but down the page things got interesting
Antique new England shutters (capitalization matters)
Antique new England shutters Which Strap hinges Five pair of shutters at $15 a piece Dimensions 19 inches wide by 70 1/2 inches high by an inch and three quarters Thick Cash only call Don no emails
(punctuation matters, too)
And this gem
Fabulous plexiglass bar w wheels - $125
(I'm probably the only one to notice this. DH used to work for Rohm & Haas which owned the trademark- they had a full time employee shutting this shit down- it's Plexiglas, FTW)
I often see chester drawers/draws on CL, and have seen draws for drawers on the message board (maybe pre gbcn), and don't get it. Is it one of those regional things, or just weird?
