This just came in my mail. This is Wendy Davis' seat in the state senate. I thought many of you (esp asdfjkl ) would get a kick out of the "Reagan Conservative vs Obama Liberal" bit. And I don't really see what's so bad about anything listed under Libby Willis?

And if you REALLY want to be annoyed, check out the way the lines for district 10 were re-drawn after Davis won.
Collyeville and Southlake (the top right hand corner of the district) are affluent, very white suburbs of Dallas, more than they are part of Fort Worth. They're Tarrant County, but it's all people who work in Dallas. Basically, anywhere you see an oddly removed chunk, the voters lean blue. The exception is Westover Hills, which is its own city. If you look just below that, under I-30, you have some pretty poor parts of town mixed in, including Como, which is heavily African American.
And if that doesn't work, they'll just turn away anyone without an ID! America!

Wow, that is pretty telling that redistricting to get votes will probably work, huh?!
My sister used to live near Southlake (technically grapevine, but closer to Southlake). In that area she was a dammed liberal. And then I'd come to visit They knew what a real liberal looked like after that. And they'd totally bait me. I fell for it every time.
