You need to take a deep breath and relax about the winter . We all survive! Every year! It's snowed on Halloween before, and that was the only snow of the season. Sometimes it's randomly 70 degrees in December. Last year it snowed 1000 times. The year before it snowed like once.
I'm not stressed about it at all. I'm actually a little excited. I just don't know what to expect so I was asking.
There's no way to know. From today until mid April it might snow and might be beautiful lol.

Cool beans. My experience is skewed because I moved here just this year in Feb, during a horrible winter. Everyone kept telling me it wasn't the norm, so I don't really know what the "norm" is. Sounds like its way better than I thought.

Can short people wear tunics? By short people I mean me. I'm 5'1". Can I get away with wearing leggings and a tunic? Or do they only look good on taller people?

Omg so this morning s was holding both kids, one on each side.
Carson was SO excited to see mila. He gave her huge smiles and leaned forward, puckered his lips and pressed them on her mouth!! A KISS!!! Mila loved it and they kissed 3 more times after! And then I asked for a kiss and got one.

I wear Tunics and leggings all weekend every weekend and I am 5'3

I think of tunics as a short person style because it's so difficult to find long enough ones for taller people.

Hmm true. I always worry they make me look shorter than I am. Or bigger than I am. I have big hips and thighs. I love tunics and leggings so this is encouraging.

It's true. Last year was especially horrific but the temp usually is in the 30s and 20s )plus wind chill). It's not terrible. It's cold, but totally manageable. Buy a warm coat that covers your butt and you're good to go
The Halloween snow was the year we were all pregnant, wasn't it? I remember trying to find a cab downtown and failing miserably, and being doubly miserable because I was too sober to ignore the cold.

I just left the Halloween parade at daycare and Lyla was so clingy while I was there and cried when I left. My mommy instinct thinks that she is getting sick.

Hopefully SANTA will bring a white Christmas for you. It's pretty rare though . Most of the snow usually comes when the holidays are over and no one wants more snow lol.

The snow is unpredictable. It comes at all different times. Last year was bad w snow but the year before that we barely got any. Eta: barely got any except the freak halloween snow.

Yes! I got stranded and my husband had to come save me.

About 4-5 years ago we got a major blizzard right after Christmas, I think the day after. My MIL woke us up at 4am and said drive home now or you will be stuck here for days. Thank you MIL!
ETA that was the storm where nothing got plowed for days and the city was shut down.

Someone scheduled an appointment to see our house today at 4:30. They didn't call until 9:30 this morning. I am SO annoyed but didn't want to say no because we haven't had a lot of showings and it really needs to sell. Maybe these people will be the ones to make an offer - I'm hoping and praying that is the case.
Since we didn't know about the showing until this morning, I've got to take off work early to go home and straighten the house and get our dog. Yay for a short Friday workday!!
bean47 I love that stuff. Here's mine from yesterday (look at the 3rd bubble down). I used Siri and I had NPR on, so instead of dictating my text she dictated the radio in the background. DH as like, WTF?? and I was laughing so hard.

It was the day after because we were on a bus back from Steve's parents' in NJ and got stuck for hours by the Lincoln Tunnel.
We were leaving to climb Kilimanjaro a few days later, so we put on everything we planned to wear there and hiked around Central Park in the snow for a few hours to test warmth and waterproofing. It was so much fun!
