Wait...am I getting slammed on the boards somewhere!? WTF!
ETA: nuggetbrain, I am pretty obsessed with early retirement so you are probably thinking about me
Someone said something about how negative you are, but then someone else pointed out that they clearly have the wrong person. So, I think it was more of a case of mistaken identity.
(devil) who knew there was an Evil Shoegirl running around!!
Her avatar is probably these shoes....(which I LOVE but feel "evil")

There IS a poster with this avatar, actually! She is on the S&B board. lol
nuggetbrain yeah that is totally me with my state of the union meetings You made my day with that suggestion to write a book - I totally want to spend my entire second career (in retirement) helping people better manage their money. I am just a little passionate about $$$$$
This is a fantastic idea. People really, really need to be better with money. I'm 43 and I can't believe how much better off I could be right now if I'd got a reign on my spending and lack of saving sooner. This board and your posts have inspired me a lot. I'll be happy if we can retire before 60. And if I want to work after that then so be it.
My flameful is that I wonder how many people's retirement is getting blown on current trips to Disney and kid's afterschool activities. I have a lot of family in Florida and it's astounding what they spend on theme parks and kid activities. And these are solidly middle class people. They are always broke at the end of the month, have a ton of debt yet still have passes to Disney every year.
