Hey, so, uh, sorta off topic. High waisted jeans.

Wasn't someone looking for a higher-waisted skinny jean?  I ordered these from the Gap and am in love.  They're not a high-rise, just highER than normal.  So comfortable.  Not as leg-hugging as other skinnies, I've had, which I actually like because they're more comfortable and I can wear them to work on jeans day (like today) without feeling too scandalous.

I have the high waist AEO jeggings, I got them online. I really liked them and they're the only pants I wear.
I lost more weight so yesterday I went in to a store to buy a new size in the same high waist ones, I put them on today, and I had to tuck my undies into the jeans :/
I'm either wearing the granniest panties EVER, or they're not as high waisted as the ones I got online.

Just a note to anyone who may have gotten online vs in store.
I still like them, but they're nowhere near as high. By like maybe two inches.

Fuck I hate high rise. I have a short waist and "high rise" on me is to my underarms basically. Mid rise is above my belly button.

Also, if it makes you feel better, a friend who is 29 only buys high rise because she's a teacher and is self conscious about bending over and her students seeing skin. So at least some young folks do it too? Heh.

I just bought three pairs of the High Rise Jeggings and one pair of the hi-rise skinnies. I love them all! The skinnies are better for non-boot days, the jeggings are prefect for boots. I am wearing one pair today, you can see in the OOTD thread...though you can't see my pants well because I have so much shit on around them, lol.

And trust, I have thighs and an ass.

They sell high rise and sky-high rise (which is higher than high rise). Maybe you have one of each?

Maybe. They shelf label said high rise, but they could've been in the wrong spot. I still love them, but I was surprised at the difference.
One thing I just remembered is, the ones I got online are regular, but it was able to get short in the store, maybe that makes a diff. They figure shorter likely means a different torso too?
