I have all my information entered in, but I can't bring myself to hit submit. My longest run to date is 6.5 and the half isn't until the end of May. I have a super supportive husband and son who keep telling me to do it, but I am terrified I am going to fail. I guess the worst is I walk/run it.....
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

you just try again, a little wiser next time. Being afraid to fail is a silly reason not to commit and try.
My first half marathon I DNS'ed. I earned myself a stress fracture in training and didn't make it to the start line. I guess I "failed" as you put it, maybe even worse than "failing" if "failing" is run/walking. It was a bummer, yes, but I healed, and the following year I finished my first ... and second ... and third... and this year my fourth through sixth. Good thing I hit submit not once but again even after failing!

I did it! I am terrified. I will admit that I am my own worst enemy because I have such little faith in myself....hence why I was a wreck going to the running group the last few weeks because I thought I was going to bomb. Thankfully my husband and son are my biggest cheerleaders and always have faith in me.
Do it- do it! If it makes you feel better I registered for my October half when my longest run was only about 5-6 miles. You have plenty of time, goals help motivate, and as mentioned you can always run/walk.
Go you!! You're going to rock it! And you are winning no matter what because you are putting yourself out there and stretching your capabilities. You'll be amazing!
In the bag! If you can already run 6.5, you are so going to cruise this by May. Just edge those runs out a but at a time. The first long run you do, don't worry about time. That will come. You have so got this.
