really? Over west, by us, they're just saying gusty winds to about 24 mph. Nothing about not going out for TOT. Of course, there's the effing SNOW that's starting at 6. So that'll be fun.
There is a wind advisory here (West MI near GR) until 7 pm with gusts to 45 MPH but I haven't seen any TOTing delay notices.
Damn, we already have more than enough candy and were expecting less kids because of the rain and snow. Add high winds and I will likely need to up my exercise plan for next week to work off all the candy.

Oh my gosh! We're on the east side and it's not that windy. I work in the city and it was much worse there (at least when I left). I hope everyone is safe.
I'm on the Eastside and it's pretty ugly out. We were giving out handfuls so we could turn our lights out and be done with it. I took the kid to maybe 5 houses just so I could get pics of her TOTing.

Yeah, we got about 15 kids total. One of them was E coming home. She was frozen to the bone, but didn't care at all, because "MOMMY! ALL THE PEOPLE GAVE ME CANDY!!!"

I was Heliicopterish and bought a ton of candy and J did about 1 block and we came home. When he was on the shower his candy magically multiplied. It wasn't super windy but very wet.
A little late but we had lots of kids. We're new here and, our neighbor said we would get a ton. It wasn't too bad but we only did our block with the little ones while the "sun" was out and handed out candy for just an hour and we ran out.
I'm just outside of Detroit, and it was terrible tonight. Rain/snow mix, and freezing. We tried going to the mall, but it was so insanely busy that most stores ran out of candy in the first half hour. So, we brought the kids to my parents house to show off their costumes, and since they hadn't had many kids, they gave them the rest of the candy. We saw zero kids outside in our neighborhood.

I bought a Tom and will donate to the Children's hospital this weekend and take done to a friend of H's who has been in a rehab since she fell at a Target is is half paralyzed. Then I will slowly get the candy out of the house.
We go to the neighborhood next to our street because we don't live in a sub, and maybe 1 out of 4 houses gave out candy this year. Last year almost ever house gave it out.
Bad weather. I'm hoping we keep our power. Winds seem like they're getting stronger.
I'm in St. Clair county and it was nasty. We went to an indoor thing in town and then came home. We could have went to my bils house but the kids didn't want to go anywhere. Good thing too, ds started wheezing about 5:30, his asthma is acting up so bad we had a piƱata here so we filled it and they did that. Then the neighbors kids came over to swap candy then we did popcorn and a movie. We live in about7 miles from town so no tots for us. My mom is in lapeer county and lost power for a few hours.

I was just starting to worry about this because the wind has really picked up.
We TOTed in Northern Oakland County and it wasn't horribly windy around 7pm, just freezing cold with snow.

I'm in Calhoun County and it's been super windy all evening. My oldest is with XH this weekend and they were ToTing in the Lansing area. I won't lie, I'm glad I didn't have to go out in the crap. But, had DS1 been home with us today we would've found and indoor trunk or treat to go to (there were a ton of them tonight).

45 minutes left to go on the wind advisory. And I just remembered that DTE never came to fix our line after the last major storm went through. Let's hope it holds out.
