I am frustrated with what seems like the entire town right now. FB is full of crazy helicopter parents PANICKING over what to do with their snookums for ToT. For reals, people, it's like 50 degrees and raining gently. Kids aren't going to break or melt b/c they were out in cold weather. Put them in a coat and carry an umbrella. It's like we've gone back to the 1900s when people were all 'you'll catch your death of cold!'
Also, I don't understand why every church in town is doing their Trunk or Treat tonight. All at the same time, and all at the same time as trick or treat - thereby rendering actual trick or treat useless. Sigh. Frustrating. (And our church is part of the problem with their annual Fall Festival tonight. UGH.)
All day long, I've been wandering around thinking my whole house smells like sausage. Nope. It's my hair. Apparently when I cooked the sausage last night, I should have turned on the exhaust fan. LOL Off to the showers for me.

All of the AAs in my building take turns spending half a day as receptionist and I seriously dislike giving a break to one of them because she will be gone for 10 minutes. I can pee and refill my water in less than 5, there's no reason to be gone so long!!
Also, Monkey told school we were picking him up so he did not get on the bus and H had to load up the baby to go pick him up.

AND ANOTHER THING!
I don't normally complain about R on here because, well, it feels disrespectful or something. However, this is an egregious enough offense, I think he deserves it. I just walked downstairs and opened the dishwasher to put in a dirty dish AND FOUND THIS:
That's an entire FULL dishwasher load. Of dirty dishes. Please note, it's R's job to run the dishwasher, although we both 'load-as-you-go'. I haven't loaded anything in DAYS, so I have no idea when it filled up. But it sure does explain why there are dirty dishes on the counter/in the sink. Urgh.
I enjoy Halloween but every time I get so anxious about going out with the kids vs handing out candy. We stopped at a few neighbors houses as a family, but now DH has the boys out TorTing, but I think it would be fun to be out too. When I do go out with them then I'm thinking I should get home and hand out candy and can't enjoy myself! Gah!

WTH, kids TOT at 5 o'clock now? Before dark? When are we supposed to eat dinner? H and I left for dinner at 6 and the # of TOTers was a real eye-opener.

I put out a bowl last year and someone stole the actual bowl. This year I said screw it, shut the lights off and we went out as a family. I did feel bad, but whatever.

We used to switch places part of the way through. It was nice because we would each get a chance to take the kids out and we wouldn't be denying other kids the chance to trick or treat.
Our kids would come home and get a break, look through their stash and eat a little candy before going back out. Because of allergies I would trade them candy they could eat for candy they couldn't, and would use the stuff they couldn't eat or didn't like to give out the rest of the night. lol
