we had a great time. Had pizza and cupcakes with my parents then hit up about 10 houses on their street. DD walked the whole way and loved getting candy. My sister and her husband live 3 blocks away so we drove over there too.
I've got a roaring headache now. Trying to figure out what to do this weekend. We are in the middle of several projects around the house and I really should just pick one and buckle down and get stuff done.
We only had 4 groups of ToTers tonight, which might be a new record low. DD was darling in her kitty costume and meowed on command for all the neighbors. I have eaten way too many KitKats and Reese's PB cups.
Our across the street neighbors are AWESOME! they decorated the inside of their garage and set up a buffet of food in it! There was a nacho station, games, Hot cocoa and a huge assortment of gourmet donuts! I could have stayed at their house all night!
We had our best friends and their son over for dinner and ToT, like we do every year. This is the first year the kids have actually been able to go door to door. They had so much fun and were so adorable holding hands walking up and down the street. I loved watching them enjoy it so much!! Unfortunately, after dinner the little boy refused to lay down on the couch and go to sleep so the grownups could play games and hang out like we had planned. so they left. It kinda bummed me out because this is not the first time our game night was cancelled because their kid wanted to go home. Now H and I are on the couch watching TV until we can muster the energy to get ready for bed!

Considering that it was freezing and drizzling here, we did well -- DS sat happily bundled in the stroller, and DD was a champ TOTing for over an hour. We came back and handed out candy, had hot chocolate and pumpkin bread, and watched The Wizard of Oz.
I'm having a little pity party for myself now, though. Second year I did TOT by myself -- H was OOT last year and this year. And we have no family here and no friends that like us enough to include us (so, I guess no friends). So...it was our lonely Halloween with the 3 of us, but DD had fun, so I guess that's what matters.
I moved in August. Apparently the street party here in my new neighborhood is a big deal and was so cute. Tons of food and I Showed the older women on my street how to take a Jell-O shot. Nobody informed me that we should be in costume so I guess I know for next year. I am never moving, this is the best neighborhood ever.
DS only really wanted to do our street ToTing before he was over it and we had our friend's 2yo with us so it was pretty light and fun.
We had so much fun! For some reason, M lost his shit when I took pictures, but was happy the rest of the evening. We took him to about 6 houses and then came home, it's so cold and windy today. He had 3 pieces of chocolate and was in heaven.
And I'm going to AW because I'm super proud. I made his jacket out of a red sweatshirt, and I think it looks awesome. I just wish he had let me get better pics.
You MADE that jacket?! That was such a great costume!
Thanks! I cut up a red hoodie, sewed the buttons on and glued on the gold trim. I had fun with it.

DS did awesome tonight!! He is usually sound asleep by 7 pm, but we didn't start TOT until 6 at our friends'. He whined some but mostly just hung out on DH's shoulders. He passed out in the car in the way home at 8 and then nursed quick to at home before passing out again in his crib. Bonus- a bunch of people gave "him" candy tonight. We also never get any trick or treaters, so we have a load left. H and I ate so much already. I feel a little sick.

We just got back from trunk or treat. It was a great success. We have more candy than we know what to do with and everyone thought our family costume was cute (C was yoda, H was Luke Skywalker, DH was Darth Vader, and I was Obi-Wan).
I don't think we had any ToTers, but we only have 6 neighbors... We left the house around 6:30 to parade J around to the grandparents. Didn't make it to the great grandparents though.
J has a really bad cough. I'm not sure if there's anything we can do about it. He also had a blowout in his super cute My First Halloween onesie at day care so I didn't get any pictures. Also didn't take any tonight. Failing at Halloween, lol.
I feel like I might be coming down with a cold which SUCKS. I wanted to have sex with DH if he doesn't get home too late, but now I'll probably be asleep.
For the first time in my life I tried a corndog tonight. It was not nearly as gross as I was expecting.

DS1 had so much fun handing out candy! He gave big handfuls to everyone and we still have a giant amount leftover because it started raining!
I was in the living room rocking DS2 while he screamed bloody murder and one toddler Minnie Mouse ran around DH and all the way into our house to come see the baby. It was pretty hilarious.

We went to my in-law's for ToT since their neighborhood has sidewalks. 2/3 of the houses had their lights off. We made it to about 10 houses before giving up. It was just too far for my kids to walk.
I think dd2 is broken. This is night 3 out of 4 that she has woken up in the motn and refused to go back to sleep. We're snuggling on the couch now but it won't last long.

my daughter has been waking MOTN a few times a week with nightmares. the absolute only thing that will calm her is my husband sleeping in the chair next to her in her room. Sucks to be him!
Ugh, no fun for J or mr. starry! I wish I could figure out what was waking her up...she's getting over a cold and probably is close to getting her canines, so I'll chalk it up to that.
