This is our first year in this neighborhood and there are literally HUNDREDS of kids roaming around. I bought two HUGE bags of candy and it still wasn't enough!
Now I'm sitting here with my lights off waiting for my sister to pick up some more. Of course, BF is working. lol

Same happened to me last year. I bought tons this year and it is starting to run low. GL! Last year when we turned the lights off they were still ringing the bell!

I bought a crap load last year. It was our first Halloween here and I figured that we would have a ton of kids since we literally live one block away from an elementary school, a junior high school, AND a high school. We had hardly any. So I froze the left overs and am handing that out tonight. I didn't buy any extra so hopefully we don't run out.
This was our lightest year ever. I bought enough candy to give each kid 2 pieces and planned for up to 300 kids. TOT was 6-8 last night. At 6:20 I finally had my first kid. at 7:15 we had our last kid. We had a grand total of 61. It was a nice fall evening too. Glad it wasn't tonight, we have a cold rain, suburbs East of us had sleet.
A friend in Cincinnati just posted that in his 5 year-old's candy bag were 2 packets of Arby's sauce. ok then.

We got 5 so far. Looks like we will have a ton of candy left over.. One year in a busy neighborhood I ran out of candy and started to give out Jello LOL

Our weather is horrible tonight, we only had five or six people all night. I gave each kid two gigantic handfuls and we still have a ton of candy leftover.
Luckily it's candy I don't like so DH will eat it all.
I only got one bag from Costco. There aren't as many TOT's tonight. I think it's because of the big high school football rivalry game tonight. It's not usually on Halloween.

We have a shit-ton of candy leftover. I expected a larger than usual crowd (and the usual crowd is pretty big) since Halloween fell on Friday this year, but it wasn't that impressive. Erg.
W.T.Faulkner I was at my sister's house, two neighborhoods over, and she had SO MUCH candy left. I'm not sure if it's because the trash trucks were still out collecting (at 6:30-7 pm, WTF) or the weather or what, but she expected a lot more. She bought two giant bags. I took a goody bag home for me and H.
No, it's still gross. The texture was probably all off. Candy is not so expensive that it needs to be frozen and saved for next year... My coworkers were happy to take the leftovers
